Here is a brief video report saying that Navy ships loaded with "thousands of U.S. Marines" and supplies is headed to Haiti to help the people in their desperate situation following a 7.0 Earthquake that struck there on Tuesday. The Marines will reportedly assist in rescue efforts and with security. . . . (VIDEO)

When are we going to hear of all of the peaceful, loving muslims heading to Haiti to help out?
You won’t hear of that. Neither will you hear of Atheist relief organizations. It the the generous Christian Spirit that leads out in these situations.
“Inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto Me.”
Why was Obama’s response to this so slow? Has he even spoken on the subject?
It is also the courageous members of the U.S. Military that takes the lead in helping the suffering people in our world.
Or Cuba? ... or Venezuela?
The Haitian government is infamously corrupt. This would be a good opportunity to “fix” that. The military will have their hands full either way.
Maybe all the crooks(polititians) were killed and we can put them on a better path. Seems to me the last time we tried to help those folks they told us to eff off.
Haiti for hundreds of years has been incapable of being “fixed.” Obama will try with tens of billions in your tax money.
What will the world do when the communists on capitol hill make us too poor to be the world’s clean-up crew?
In addition to my tax dollars I have donated to the Salvation Army for Haiti relief efforts. They are one of the only charities I trust.
And who was saying that to shrink the US Budget, that we needed to “downsize” our Military? Once again, the Big Green machine comes to the rescue of the downtrodden, along with the man/woman power of the US Navy to bring aid and comfort to the less fortunate.
Anyone who says that we should keep considering downsizing the Military should have their heads examined, and then shuttled off to the farthest deserted island. Let’s see how they fair.

But they can get close. In most cases, they would never dock anyway—but rather anchor close by. They would use landing ships and helicopters to transfer people and material back and forth.
Haiti is unfixable. The best we can do is bring a little help to those poor people. Of course we will end up with a
few hundred thousand more Haitians in FL and NY ...
Haiti, for hundreds of years, has not had a magnitude 7 earthquake to contend with. There has never been a better time to fix that island than now. Were it fixed, we would not have to contend with the inevitable flood of refuges. If we do not fix it, you can bet you’re a55 that we will have a flood of new Haitian immigrants entering our country. It’s time to nation build.
