Quayle needs to warn the GOP against becoming one.

I like Quayle but the information I have seen indicates that Chart Boy took an equal number of votes away from Bush and Clinton.

GHWB did it to himself by breaking the No New Taxes pledge.

If Perot hadn’t been involved I believe it would have been Clinton-Gore by 51 to 48. The “No new taxes” pledge and the flailing around pledging to be the “education president” and the “environmental president” were not helpful to GHWB.

I think he means “We’d have made it”.

I’m not a fan of 3rd parties but I’m growing increasingly tired of the GOP warning against them so they can continue to fail.

Quayle? Holy smokes, and we thought it was hard to find Obama? Where did they find this guy?

Had “Read my lips”, not given in and raised taxes, he may have won.

The Democrats set a trap and Bush bit.

Exactly. Perot didn’t cost Bush the election, Bush cost Bush the election.

Yeah but see, Dan, you and GHWB were exactly the same as Bill Clinton and Al Gore, so it doesn't really matter! In fact, to teach the GOP a lesson, it was better to have Clinton in for eight years, than to see GHWB get re-elected. It worked out so much better for the Republic that way....

“We’d have made it” and THEN what?? We would have had a “Klintoon” type Dem AssH*le as Pres in 1996 instead if 1992. George HW Bush was a unmittigated disaster as President. Ronald Reagan should have FIRED his ass in 1984 and ran w/ a REAL conservative.

He’s right, the analysis clearly showed it. And this happens again and again. A few years ago in Alaska we got Tony Knowles as gov, a D, because of republican Coghill (Cog-loose, in my view) who ran as a third party candidate.

Perot was there because GHWB decided to play RINO.

So RINOs think we either swallow their poison or be stuck with Obama.

All the posters on here seem to have been getting their news from the MSM. The MSM went all out telling us how stupid Quayle is/was. Everyone seems to believe it.

Hey Dan, time to get the GOP back on track! Stop blaming everyone else for the situation.

Quayle is right.

It will be a fatal blunder if the forces opposed to Obama and his socialist friends fail to unite.

Splitting the vote would be a truly stupid move.

We don’t all have to agree on all things, but if we don’t agree to work together on the big one — removing those currently in power — this nation is in trouble.

Drop your pet issues. There’s time for that later.
