The Audacity of the First Amendment
I'm A Pundit Too ^ | 1/22/2010 | doug ragan

What is worse about Obama’s message today? That he obviously wants to change the US Constitution, or that he thinks we are all stupid?

I want to share with you the email i received from Barack Obama’s Organizing for America.

Yesterday morning, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that corporations can spend freely in federal elections.

It’s a green light for a new stampede of special interest money in our politics, giving their lobbyists even more power in Washington. Now, every candidate who fights for change could face limitless attacks from corporate special interests like health insurance companies and Wall Street banks. While the GOP is celebrating a victory for its special interest allies, President Obama is working with leaders in Congress to craft a forceful response that protects the voices of ordinary citizens.

Socialist... loud and clear.

Gee Barry... why don't you move in with Hugo Chavez? He's more to your liking.

I think its that the Constitution is THE supreme law of the land and that they have no understanding of either hierarchies or authority because they are drunk on their own hubristic egos.

That’s my theory anyway.

I've usually responded to these emails and never got a bounce-back, until this one. They must have an unusually high amount of taunting going on. Ha ha ha.

Here's my latest response:
Any individual or any group or individuals that has an interest in legislation or who will be affected by legislation has a right to campaign for or against it. This is why a First Amendment was written, to protect the citizenry against a predatory federal government. Learn some friggin' history. You can't get more "special interest" than unions being given control (illegally) of auto companies, or ACORN/SEIU being lavishly funded to perform partisan Democrat/socialist wetwork, or senators like Landrieu and Nelson getting their votes purchased with public funds, or unions getting a special deal exempting them from the provisions of the health care tax. I can only hope that Obama's '"forceful response" will be as self-serving as all his other responses so the public will continue to see what a fraud he has been since day one.

--Please add your name right away to help show that the American people support strong, urgent action to prevent a corporate takeover of our democracy.--

The hypocrisy is staggering, given all the SOROS money used in numerous organizations to manipulate, the public and policy.
Not to forget General Electric pushing policy through the bias NBC family. Thank Goodness for the Supreme court ruling to counter this influence.
