Obama State of the Union Message: From “Yes, We Can” to “Yes, I Get It”

In the wake of the Massachusetts special election, Democrat incumbents are nervous that the President’s agenda is costing them political capital that they just do not have. In reaction, Obama plans to stake the 2010 mid-term elections on change: a change in his fundamental message from “Yes, we can” to “Yes, I get it.” But, can he resist the urge to blame the Republicans, and not go to bat for his policy of spending? The AP reports on the Administration’s preparations for the State of the Union address noting, “It all points to the message Obama wants to convey: Yes, I get it.” But does he really? Ben Feller, writing for the AP, comments, “Obama will propose ways to help the middle-class. But any new ideas probably will play a supporting role to the plainspoken narrative he wants to tell, that his agenda works for people despite their growing doubts.”

Its typical Obama. He claims he gets it and at the same time he’s moving the pieces around to continue promoting his radical marxist agenda.

He’s putting David Plouffe in charge of “overseeing” house and senate reelection campaigns. (Can you say “Politburo”?) Plouffe is already making it clear that a health care bill will top the agenda in elections.

Personally, I do not believe that the pResident of the White House is emotionally mature enough to adjust to the new realities of the political landscape and the position of the voting public.

I expect emotional outbursts and irrational blame-slinging for the next three years.

There is no evidence he GETS IT...take this latest attempt at being a populist... “We will make the Banks pay” We will make the corporations pay....so yeah wow somebody gonna finally pay, whoopee the banks the corporations we will show them... Ok so when Govt slams them with new mandates and new taxes and new fines they pass the costs on to us the consumer so the liberals tax us and the corporations increase the costs of goods and services so we get screwed twice on the same nickle, Hey Obama hint the GOVERNMENT is the PROBLEM....

“Actually its from “yes we can” to “I gotta be sneakier”.

BINGO !!!!

This speech will rank right up there with Clinton’s “THE ERA OF BIG GOVERNMENT OF OVER.”

The GREAT PRENTENDER will talk up deficit reduction to fool the lemings...(of course he does intend to cut the crap out of our military and NASA)He will say he has “heard the people”

What he won’t say is that he hears what he WANTS to hear, not what is being said.

0bama isn’t saying “yes I get it.”
What he’s really saying is “y’all are too stupid to get it.”
His plan is not to learn from Massachussetts and reverse course.
Instead his plan is to continue pushing the same agenda, but this time explain it with smaller words.

But, can he resist the urge to blame the Republicans, and not go to bat for his policy of spending?

And, since our own guys spent like Democrats for the six or so years we were in control, bitching too loudly about it makes us look hypocritical. Unintended consequences strike again!
