So there is NO opportunity to "fix" the bill in the reconcilliation process.
If the House passess the Senate's version it becomes law when signed. The only way to fix it would be for the Senate & House to pass a completely new bill. Of course the Senate bill (I believe) still contains the absurd and UnConstitutional language that forbids parts of it ever being mondified by a future Congress. So there might be litigation and court cases before it can be modified.
The Dems might be able to do this, but do they really want to slit their own throats like this? The latest polling is 65% of Americans opposed to the bill.
I suspect it's brave talk by a back bencher. There is a big difference between cloak room nose counts and real votes. A lot of the House know their seats are up for grabs already.
We'll see shortly.
One great thing: Obama did not have his great triumphant first year success! He had to give that dumbed down list of accomplishments in the SOU. That was nice to see.
If she doses then vote. Which Bill does she have? Do it, Nancy. If by June recess the house will go home and not work like last year. Their is an election this November. These Town Halls will be for real.
If this clueless b*tch had the votes it would have been on fubo’s desk last week......
