Did We Dream Scott Brown?
StellaPundit.blogspot.com ^ | February 1, 2010 | Stella Paul

Remember that glorious election in Massachusetts two weeks ago when Scott Brown scored Ted Kennedy’s old Senate seat? What happened? Where did he go? Not the U.S. Senate, unfortunately. They’re still partying on without him, voting along strictly party lines, 60-39 to increase the federal government borrowing limit to $14.3 trillion. Where was Senator Scott Brown? Why was the man he replaced, Paul Kirk, voting in his stead, exactly the opposite from how Brown would have voted?

Will somebody please tell me what’s going on? And while you’re at it, will you also let me know how we’re going to fight back against the socialist onslaught if every time we win we kick back, open a few beers and take a two-week nap? Did we dream Scott Brown?

The secretary of state is taking his sweet time certifying the results.

If Croakley had won she would have been sworn in the next day. The whole thing is a travesty!

It’s sadly predictable. The Mass. election officials are dragging their feet in certifying the election results. Republicans must not be protesting about it.

And nobody is protesting that Sen. Kirk’s appointment to the Senate expired when Senator Brown was elected. Kirk’s appointment expires upon election of a replacement, even if that replacement hasn’t been sworn in yet. But nobody is complaining, so Democrats are doing whatever the heck they feel like.

Republicans aren't screaming over this to make the Democrats spend political capital to keep Brown out.

I believe his spokesperson came out a day or 2 after the election and said he wouldn’t be sworn in until end of Feb/beginning of Mar. He seemed to be just fine with that for some reason.

Brown and Republicans are busy apologizing for the win, and promising to work with the commies.

So, yes...we did dream it.

He is due to be sworn in on February 11th. Until then he is continuing to finish up his work. I think it is evil that he has to wait but...therein lies the true darkness of the opposition.

Republicans aren’t screaming over this

Naturally, the RINOS want this Liberal spending, knowing they will not be held accountable while it continues to fail.

If Brown was worth his salt, he would be going before every camera he could find?

Something seems very odd. Even the silence on the issue. It is almost like an agreement to wait.

I saw Senator Brown last night in Foxborough for the last stop on his “Thank you” tour and he appears fresh, and ready and raring to go” (Ayla was there, too - she’s BEAUTIFUL!!!). Unfortunately he happens to be hostage to a “process”, and a Democrat Sec of State who intends to milk this transition for all it’s worth. I’m sure he’s frustrated and pissed but I think this guy’s a fighter who will pick his battles wisely but will bring the heavy artillery when the time is right

I heard him say something about he was watching it and thought he said he will step in if he has to. Not sure where I read or heard that but...I can say this...when he DOES come onto the scene...he will be the SHINING STAR and the others will fade. They dont’ want all that attention brought to him and taken off them.
