earthquake in Chicago area???
Your original Post 14 was correct; 7.0 is ten times as strong as 6.0.
Got you beat, Im only 9.3 miles.
That’s what happens when the Midwest doesn’t get its cup of coffee.
Not an earthquake. Just the Democrat “Dead Electorate” rolling over and reacting to the news that their elected Lt. Gov candidate had to withdraw.
I hope Villa Olivia is still standing; we go there every Thanksgiving for our family gorge. But we did not feel the quake, or at least, it didn’t wake us up. My mom passed away in 08 at a small hospital in Sycamore. So we were thinking maybe she sent the quake to remind people to keep praying for her soul. (She wasn’t a frequent church attender.:))
I live in a western suburb of Chicago and it woke me up bigtime in my condo building. It shook the whole building. Literally felt like the building was shifting. Weirdest feeling. I knew almost immediately it had to be an earthquake, as nothing else would cause the whole building to rock like that. Jeez, I hope this isnt a harbinger of things to come.
