So the Tea Party had a small convention, or at least one faction did and it finally made the lamestream news stations. I don't think the establishment is taking us for granted anymore. I even see the GOP trying to take us over.
Sarah Palin was the keynote speaker on Saturday. I wasn't there so I only got some reports on what she said. I'm sure it was what the tea party members wanted to hear. She is now on the primary campaign trail supporting John McCain in Arizona and Governor Rick Perry in Texas for their re-election bids. You got to love these politicians. Give them a little time and they will slip up. This is why ALL politicians need to be watched like hawks.

Palin stated her position clearly; that the Tea Party is a movement of disparate individuals, who differ on some policies; that they are NOT sheep following a charismatic leader.
Preserving the Constitution is not a cult, it is a duty.
Well, Mr. Lowder, might I suggest that, before you opine on something, you research it?
Sarah's entire speech was almost immediately available on line.
Any writer worthy of the title would have listened to it before writing a piece about it.

looks like they have had to stop ignoring the tea parties, and are getting down to the mocking and fighting.
I think Lowder is just a private citizen who sent in an op/ed piece to the paper. I could be wrong, but I don’t know that he claims to be a writer. Which, as you point out, might be a good thing.
