This year Ms. Parker's "Valentine" to Sarah Palin, an article titled "Sarah Palin should beware of exploiting her youngest child" (www.w,shingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/02/12/AR2010021204006.html?nav=rss_opinion/columns), should send a thrill up at least one of Matthew's legs.
Ms. Parker concluded her catty article this way:
"Perhaps the erstwhile governor still thinks in first-person plural, viewing Trig as part of herself. But he is also a separate individual deserving of privacy, if unable to say the words she needs to hear: 'No more, Mama, please.'
"Another political mother, Hillary Clinton, made good on her commitment to protect her child's privacy. Agree with her politics or not, most Americans would concede her wisdom in shielding Chelsea from media exposure until her daughter could fend for herself.
"In the spirit of which, speaking in second-person imperative -- mother to mother -- be careful, Sarah."
Mrs. Palin needs to continue to be herself...and wary of the advice of strangers pretending to be helpful and concerned about Mrs. Palin's youngest child, Trig.

Yep - jealousy, pettiness, but more than that - pure vile hared borne out of an allegiance to the lies that are at the core of the leftist/liberal/progressive/Marxist/communist mindset of those who want Sarah Palin to shut up and go away - and who, by the way, would be happy if all of us on FR and in the Tea Party movement were dead or in gulags.

Sounds like the kind of advice coming from a woman who would have been more comfortable killing the baby in the womb so “care” wouldn’t be as difficult.
Dear Ms. Parker - You know I remember reading your articles several years ago and agreeing with much of your thought and opinion and enjoying the way you would write about issues.
I haven't read your articles for more than two years after having been assaulted by the ignorance in them. I don't know when or what caused your 'alteration' but it has been swift, absolute and demonic ("In the spirit of which, speaking in second-person imperative -- creature of God to creature of God -- be careful, Kathleen", I think you are possessed).
Your hate of christianity in your writing is undisguised. Your hate of Sarah Palin is a full-blown obsession at this point. I just read a blog review of what I gather was a recent article of yours. The blog review's title is, Sarah Palin Doesn't Need Parenting Advice From Kathleen Parker". A couple of passages of your "catty" article (really, insane jealousy is not becoming) were included. Complete trash. What gall. What pomposity. What arrogance. Who are you to presume to judge Sarah Palin and tell her how to be a mother???!!!!! You are a sad excuse for a journalist and possibly a mom (a little projection going on, hmmm?).
This article is unprofessional, unbalanced, biased, prejudiced, partisan and an affront to journalists everywhere. I will find an email for the editor to provide this same feedback. How on earth did this get past an editor?!
My last thought is that I'll pray for you, by God's grace, to get a reply directly from Trig telling you just how wrong you are.

I agree with yor observation: Hillary’s “sheltering” of Chelsea existed ONLY in the eyes of her adoring press corpse. EVERY photo op, EVERY magazine article was taken advantage of to push the two of them.
All the while advertising to the public that they were “protecting” her.
