She is as qualified as any president elected in the last 18 years.

That is certainly NOT true of Barack Obama, a candidate with extremely meager qualifications who has his adoring Fan Club because of his left-wing politics and the color of his skin.

It is also NOT true of Sarah Palin, a candidate with extremely meager qualifications who has her Fan Club because of her conservative politics and the fact that she is female and cute.

The reality is that BOTH Barack Obama and Sarah Palin are Affirmative Action candidates.

Truthfully now:

If Barack Obama's absentee father had been a Norwegian, white, blue-eyed, graduate student named Eric Olsen instead of a Kenyan, black, graduate student, would his white, blue-eyed son named Barry Olsen, who spent his career in the State Legislature voting "Present" ever have seriously considered for a Senate seat or the Oval Office?

If Sarah Heath (does anyone actually know what Sarah Palin's father's surname is) had been born a male named Sam Heath, who had been Mayor of a town with a population of less than 10,000 and the Governor, for two years, of a State with a population half the size of San Diego, CA, would Sam Heath ever have seriously considered for being a heartbeat away from the Presidency?

Be that as it may, the deciding majority of American voters (who would be considered ZOT material at both Democratic Underground and Free Republic) already consider Barack Obama as an electoral mistake and as an unqualified Affirnmative Action candidate and also consider Sarah Palin as an unqualified Affirnmative Action candidate.

The best way to get Barack Obama re-elected is to nominate another candidate that the majority of the American electorate sees as another unqualified Affirnmative Action candidate.

Your entire argument is based on the flawed premise that Gov. Palin sat in her office and did her best not to rock the boat. That is flat out wrong.

Is she qualified for President? I don’t know, but I’d vote for her, most likely. She infuriates all the right people, and I don’t get the feeling that she’s BSing me all the time. She may have some populist leanings, but Reagan allowed for a large increase in the national debt and granted amnesty to illegals. No one’s perfect.
