Lutherans observe Ash Wednesday and Lent, too, you know.

The entire passage clearly applies to all Christians. The questions and self-review of our acts and what we hold in our hearts are timeless and well stated.
But as an ex-Catholic, I have to say I sure get that old-time catholic guilt in reading this. Not the “bad guilt” — this is self-earned guilt.
But Catholics will know what I mean... :)
