Seperate prayer areas are common in many religions (mine, for example).

In Orthodox Judaism, men and women are seperated to prevent distraction from the business at hand (worship).

From reading the article it seems these “devout” Muslims actually invited infidel cops to enter their Mosque - even their main prayer hall - to tell the women to leave! Devout Muslim women are held to be even lower than the infidel? I’ll bet the cops even wore their shoes!
