These aren’t necessarily college women and underage drinking in Canada is under 18. They won the gold; a party at center ice seems fitting to me. This was not an “orgy”.
Of all people, conservatives should not be assuming the position of liberal thought and PC police. Give these athletes a little space. Shhheeeesh!
You forget that two wings of the conservative party are in conflict. The Jeffersonian branch and the Law and Order moralists. Don’t forget that during Ronald Reagan’s libertarian leaning presidency much of the laws surrounding family values were passed. They turned family court into a man hating nightmare under the guise of forcing men to take “responsibility”. So a moralistic wing of the party is in full force. These are the guys that think that making flag burning a federal crime will solve all the loyalty problems in the country. They want symbolic legislation forcing the pledge of allegiance in classrooms, school sanctioned prayer etc. The thing they forget is the heart is what matters. You can’t force somebody to be loyal to any idea. You just can’t. These are the same people who demand and pass all the weird liquor laws found in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. You’ve heard the old joke about camping with baptist? It goes like this: Never take one baptist camping with you. If you do, he will drink all your beer. The trick is to take two baptist camping with you. That way you get to have all the beer for yourself.
