Regarding the Mark Burnett/Reality Show Story
conservative4palin.com ^ | March 4, 2010 | Tommy Report

It appears that the story is being mischaracterized. We've heard that what Governor Palin is pitching to television executives is not a "reality show" but rather more of a "Planet Earth" style documentary showcasing Alaska's resources, people, history, and splendor. If the project comes to fruition, it will not be an Alaskan version of the Osbournes. The show will be more "PBS/Ken Burns" instead of "MTV/The Osbournes". This sounds like it's another opportunity for Governor Palin to promote Alaska -- which is, of course, one of the promises she made when she stepped down from the governorship.

The star of the show is supposed to be Alaska, not Sarah Palin or her family. It will focus on the natural wonder, frontier and unique individuals that make Alaska our nation's hidden and often undiscovered jewel. I don't know about you guys, but I think it could turn out to be a spectacular production in the vein of a Discovery Channel, National Geographic exploration of the diversity of Alaska. What do you expect from Sarah Palin? We all know how much she adores her home state.

And it’s about time people stop dismissing Alaska as some pile of dirt and ice, as if it were a joke to govern it.

AN OPINION FROM HILLBUZZ.COM:

Sarah Palin’s 2012 Presidential Campaign Update: Reality Show with Mark Burnett will be weekly hourlong campaign commerical on broadcast network

You know something, we keep saying how we are going to do everything we can to make sure the MSM, DNC, and RNC don’t do to Sarah Palin what they did to Hillary Clinton…and that we’re going to do everything we can to help Palin. That remains 100% true and will not change.

But, honestly, every day we see clearly this woman might not need our help.

She is doing a REMARKABLE job all her own of beating the MSM, DNC, RNC, and White House at their own games.

Word is Palin is negotiating to get a Reality Adventure Series about Alaska, which would feature her family, traveling around the state, teaching America about our Last Frontier and the Palins themselves.

Palin would control the content, the editing, the production, and the broadcast.

In essense, these would be hourlong campaign commercials where Palin would get to present her brand: Alaska, Family, Nature, Independence, Going Rogue, Loving America.

It is an absolute stroke of pure unadulterated genius that only Sarah Palin could pull off.

A travelogue that’s not really a travelogue, but a free campaign commercial for a candidate who will have an hour a week to show America the sides of herself and her family she wants shown, while captivating the country with the gorgeous scenery of a state most find pure magic.

Genius.

She’s going to define how America sees her.

The show will air in 2011 sometime. Maybe Fall of 2010, so Palin can still be on track to declare her candidacy on February 6th, 2011 as we think she will — which is Ronald Reagan’s birthday.

In other news, there is no interest at all in a Reality Series starring Tim Pawlenty and Mitt Romney, traveling in Minnesota, Utah, Michigan, and Massachusetts, eating cucumber and mayonnaise sandwiches dipped in paste, dunked in skim milk. Pawlenty apparently pitched the idea, or started to, but everyone in the room fell asleep before he could get past his opening joke, which was, of course, about the OJ Simpson trial (since Pawlenty’s humor is always so dated, unfunny, and not relevant to anything that’s currently in the news).

If this deal goes through, wow, it’s incredible.

It blows away anything the MSM did for Dr. Utopia in the leadup to his run. Palin will well-known and well-loved by hundreds of millions once this show hits the air.

Oh, wait, she’s already loved by hundreds of millions now, and she doesn’t even have a show yet.

Go, Sarah, Go! http://hillbuzz.org/2010/03/03/sarah-palins-2012-presidential-campaign-update-reality-show-with-mark-burnett-will-be-weekly-hourlong-campaign-commerical-on-broadcast-network/

(last post)

Not sure if I agree with the insight as I don’t know what to make of the show until it happens. We shall see. Regardless if she runs for President or not, the more Americans such as the Palins permeate the culture and public consciousness, the better.

Absolutely! Well said. A great next step for the “We Surround Them” awakening, and a wonderful end run around the lame stream media. Alaska has been super hot on Discovery and History for several years now. Another thread on the idea has folks appalled at the thought, but I’m excited. Good for her!

I think you are a little too exuberant on Sarah. The population of the US is just slightly more than 300 million and I am fairly certain that not everyone loves her. Yet!

Yeah I didn’t say that...the writer of that blog did. And yes he/she puts my exuberance to shame LoL.

“We believe the 45th President will be a woman, and she will take office in 2013. That woman will either be Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin, depending on whether or not Dr. Utopia does not run for a second term, in which case Clinton will be the president…or if he decides on foolishly trying to Hopey-change his way through another election, the Palins will move into the White House in January 2013.”

Sarah told Leno "The Lie has traveled half way 'round the world, before the Truth has even had a chance to put his pants on."

Where are all of the folks here saying that it was all true, have they disappeared?

You don’t have to be sold on Sarah. I’m sold on her but that’s just me, if are not it’s cool. A lot of her potential “surging” support will probably come during the primary debates vs Mitt, Pawlenty and others. If she gets the nomination the others being “independents and wavering Republicans” will might come about with her message and ideas for the country and of course the debate vs. Obama. Many people don’t understand that even Reagan was down to Carter late in the election and that many voters didn’t really move in his direction until the debates, and Sarah is a very good debater so we shall see.

Hillary, Sarah comparisons you say????

No similarities whatsoever. Firstly Hillary is a tramp, secondly there is no comparison as to how they have been treated.

The MSM/DNC would have rallied around Hillary if she had been the Dem nominee.

The hatred they have for Sarah is not even in the same ball park.

After I went to bed last night, the admin moderator pulled a lot of my posts on the original thread. I'm guessing the originator of the thread couldn't handle being called an old sour puss and hit the abuse button.

If you check out the ongoing discussion on that thread since I left, you'll notice people are still being fooled by premise of the article.

I'm surprised the admin moderator hasn't pulled the thread. The guys posts are worthy of the Bob J award.

Thanks for the ping. Sarah is playing a 21st Century game against 20th Century conventional political wisdom. It’s risky, bold and fascinating for political junkies like me to watch.

Wonder if Andrew Breitbart is involved behind the scenes somehow?
