American Conservatism at the Alamo

Today Conservatism in America - and in the world - is at the “Alamo” of its existence. As we shall see, there is no way that we as a nation - let alone a global society - can survive the devastating impact of the past 50 years. We are at the imploding point even now. The overall structure is ready to collapse by the overload of godlessness and decadence heaped upon it by the American people. The dam is about to burst, and the “lawlessness flood” of oppression, tyranny, global war and human catastrophe is soon to deluge the United States of America and the entire world.

We should not be overly excited or deceived by the Brown victory or other conservative-moderate victories in 2010, however exciting they might be. The true heart of the American people has NOT changed for the better. It is what it has always been over these last 50 years or so: licentious and haughty. Even now many conservatives have been subtly intoxicated and tainted by socialism, godlessness and the immoral practices of the Left (Jer. 6:16-17; Matt. 15:8, 18-20). For example, consider the Republican administration and congress of the last 8 years. Except for a core of faithful true conservatives (fiscal and moral), the movement would have faded away years ago. What makes you think that the heart of these politicians or the American people has changed or will change? It hasn't and it won't. Sadly, the "voter reaction" victories occurring in 2010 (e.g., Scott Brown) will only display the last struggling convulsions of a decadent nation on the precipice of total collapse. I have absolutely no pleasure in making this statement. In fact, I do so with a grieving heart.

As the days before Nebakanezer came and destroyed Jerusalem in 685 BC so is today. If we take an objective look at the whole picture it isn't hard to see that we are at the end of the road. We must still do all we can.. but do not deceive our selves.. the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

The Battle of the Alamo was a crushing defeat that lead to a thorough victory in the Texas Revolution. I think it may be true that Obamacare could be analogous to The Battle of the Alamo ... i.e. we may lose the battle, but win the war.

I don’t see how you get from an Alamo analogy to the Scott Brown victory being “the last struggling convulsions of a decadent nation on the precipice of total collapse.”

What did Jim Bowie say to Davy Crockett when he saw 5000 Mexicans coming towards the Alamo?

What, are we pouring concrete today?

Well..... From a biblical point of view... the tribulation - seven years of full blown lawlessness ... then Christ return to crush the global lawless rebellion and He will establish a 1000 year reign in righteousness... It might sound like a fairy tale but..it will happen. this is God's creation and world and He will only be long suffering so long..

It's all in the post my friend. Have faith in God my fellow freeper. The Kingdom of Heaven

I think he said “your Scott Brown Bowie knife” is not going to help us beat 5000 Mexicans.. we better be sure our hearts are right with Almighty God and that we know Jesus as our personal Savior.. cause.. the jig is up son.

Sounds corny but that is really what conservatives are trusting in... a bowie knife. Our culture, society and American family unit is decimated my friend. Those our realities. If we step back and look at the whole picture it is the truth.

The bottom line of this whole post is to look to Almighty God and believe Him befoe the end comes. He is our only hope for this world and the next. All of God's best! I.F.
