Dr Ang'awa had worked in Embu, Kiambu, Kilifi, Mombasa, Kakamega and Bungoma and was one of the best known members of the medical profession in the country.

Her father was brutally killed when she was a teenager more than 40 years ago, but Lady Justice Mary Ang'awa has opted to forgive his killer. During her reflection at a recent meeting to plan the 40th anniversary of the death of her father, she had no qualms about offering a pardon. "I have forgiven you," she says is the message she has for the killer of Dr James Ang'awa.

One of the pioneer medical specialists in the country, Dr Ang'awa was hit on the head with a blunt object on Tom Mboya Street by an unknown assailant.

A police inquest cleared a suspect who had been arrested although Justice Ang'awa is not convinced the decision was the right one. "My father died a painful death. Investigations and inquests were concluded. I and my brothers--Antony, Hillary, Charles and William-- have climbed a steep path to success with the guidance of our mother Perez. So the best thing to do is to forgive the killer," she told the Sunday Nation.

At the time of her father's death, Justice Ang'awa was a Form One student at Limuru Girls' high school. Her family enjoyed a comfortable life; her father was establishing a reputation for his research into treatment of tuberculosis.

The family lived in high-class government quarters in Upper Hill. Among their neighbours were Dr Njoroge Mungai, former President Kenyatta's personal physician, President Kibaki, who was then minister for Finance and the late Barack Obama Sr, father of American President Barack Obama.

The family was evicted from the house three months after Dr Ang'awa's death.

Not only did I read all of your links, I made comments on them....it does no good to tell people to read them, they then read them, and comment on them, and you don’t read what they comment on, rather post repeated links...
Practice what you preach, read and realize that I have read your links, and disagree with some, yet find it strange that we simply can’t find a chronological listing for CA’s from the hospital. Start/Stop dates, overlapping dates, if they exist. In my own working life, when someone takes a new job, the previous office holder has a training period to help the new office holder get a good hold of the reins. This has happened many times, and I would not find it unusual. I am not saying this happened in this case, but we are talking about a 12-16 week period of time, where it is “Possible” that there was a “training” period, which would be reasonable. The outgoing CA would be closing cases, and notifications being made, office changing, etc.

I agree with you that exploding the story all over the world would have been the best protection.
My impression is they were threatened with career destruction & physical harm to them &/or their families. They are afraid. Now that he’s in the wh, the FCC has threatened their licenses to broadcast. In addition to fear for family, there are many thousands of jobs & billions of dollars at stake. The CFP did promise to keep the id’s secret until the victims were ready to come out with the info. I believe they will eventually come out, but only after the threats no longer hold sway over them.

After looking at the dates these people are acting CA it appears that they start in June and end in May, perhaps a one year stint as CA. I could not find a catagorical listing, or historical listing of past CA for the hospital. The exception is the February listing for Magonga. Also my impression is that these are all visiting doctors, not staff, except for the Senior Staff, and this is a teaching hospital, with many MD coming and going based on the projects they are working on. Reports habitually butcher names and titles.
I would love to see signatures during that time frame from other births from that hospital, and who signed them. This is most puzzling that information like this is hidden.

I did further digging, and it is not from the Hospital, rather published from two newspapers. The format is the same for the current 4 if you look at other tender actions listed. I have MANY official sources for the spellings of Othigo’s name(s). Many more than you could ever dream of finding for Helton. I have listed many here and can list scores more from different websites which back up each spelling.
So now, after all of this, can you sort of understand what I have been saying from the outset? When people in Kenya and other African nations are spelling out words and names in Swahili, they spell them out phonetically, the way that it sounds to them.

I agree with you. To me, publicity would be the best defense. There’s no guarantee an “accident” can’t be arranged.
I have held jobs where I have been threatened & I do not back off. I invite them to take their best shot. What would I do if my kids were threatened with harm? I can’t answer that unless it happens. I am not in the public eye, making millions in my job. If I was & I knew they could destroy my career & my ability to earn a good living for my family, what would I do? No one can answer these questions unless we are in that situation. I ran thru all your links Lucas, a jog down memory lane (from yesterday...lol) IMO her name is Merry Jennifer Otieno Othigo, Otieno is her maiden name. I see that spelling as most prevalent, however, as I said earlier, people tend to butcher names. In todays links however, I found her e-mail address. I took a chance and wroter her, to answer two questions:
1. What was the transition time from her stint as CA and Heltan/Helton Magonga’s start as CA at CPGH-Mombasa, Kenya. If there was a cross training period, could EITHER sign for that position, and did one act, or both as Assistant CA during that time period, and does the Assistant CA sign as CA on documents.
2. Is her name Merry Jennifer Otieno Othigo, or is it spelled differently, or incorrect as stated.
I stated that these questions were for an ongoing debate, and were not official in any capacity.

This theory about dual CAship is there only to float Lucas’ sinking ship. But I’am glad your taking my work seriously, I enjoy discussions about facts. When people start getting personal I believe that they are running short of arguments.
It is a fact that until April 13th Othigo speaks as CA to The Nation newspaper. It is a fact that Maganga first is mentioned as CA on June 17th. That the incoming CA would sign documents before his appointment is frankly a very faint possibility. CA of CPGH is a public position, CPGH is a government institution. Yes, off course there are transitions, but one is the man (or the woman in charge), the one bearing the full legal responsibilities (and they are quite heavy in a hospital) off his position.

My point is that transistion time has lots of minutae going on, and a quick payoff (hard cash) to an underpaid clerk is involved for this document.
* All information on the document is correct
* The document is real
* The embossing is real
* But during the transition, there is a new stamp, no possiblity yet of a real signature?
* Real possibility of No deal on the part of the clerk?
* He Can’t pass up the cash, so the clerk forges the signature, hence the misspelling, to agree with the stamp.
* Once the clerk has the cash, he no longer cares..It’s Not his problem...

The signature issue has boogered it up upon examination by those who checked it closely, but nobody has had issue with the contents of the document itself.

I wish to point out that if this happened, it was not IMO at the urging of Lucas Smith, rather the greed and indifference of the clerk. There has been no other photo that I know of showing Heltan Maganga’s signature to disprove my “theory”, and that is all it is. Things in Africa are much different than they are in the USA. Most places outside of the USA and Western Europe have different norms we are uses to.

You (kim) claim to have spenyt 30 years in Africa working for oil companies (though you've admitted that was just a lie) so you should realize that we cannot rationalize things in Africa out with our American thought process as to what would be the norms in their culture and society.

I have given in the past a tremendous amount of examples as to the difference in “norms” between many African nations and the United States of America. All of which you were unfamiliar with and which went on further to prove that you have never been anywhere in Africa.

We as Americans do not have a clue as to how things run in a undeveloped third world nation. It's not like American where we're all so obsessive compulsive and keep record of every little thing that happens. Many Africans don't know nor do they care what the birthday is. If you go to Africa someday you might understand this. Many Africans couldn't care less if they never had to get a drivers license or state ID card. Many Africans don't speak of history in the form of year, they simply relate things to the seasons and to other events that happened in the same time period. Here in the USA we just rattle of hour day minute second hand date day of week military time. Things are much different when you're in a undeveloped third world nation. You might want to travel outside of the USA sometime in your life.

Fukino’s atatement means nothing except a birth was registered there as per the law.
From 1895 to 1985, a birth could be registered in Hawaii be several means. An “interested party” (read parent or other relative) could register a birth as Hawaiian born simply by mailing in a form or going to the registrar’s office and signing a statement. No birth had to be proven..just statements made & signed or a form filled out, signed & mailed in. The long form or “vault copy” would tell where the info came from..whether it was from a hospital, a doctor or midwife (as in home delivery)or, as I believe, grandma giving a statement. All were acceptable in Hawaii at that time. That is why it is so important to see the long form Hawaii keeps hidden under bozo’s orders. bozo has shown a colb he claims is the truth. So why not release the long form? He has something to hide. It is either the fact that the info came from someone other than a hospital or the name change to Barry Soetoro when he was adopted or maybe both.
Some could argue if he was born in America, even with a non-citizen father, he has the right to be potus. That is wrong but a different legal debate altogether.
Some could argue his mother didn’t know she was too young to bestow auto-citizenship on him, maybe.And maybe whe just took a shortcut to give her son a better chance at life with an American bc.
