Race hustlers, hate peddlers and “critics” strike again with their wolf-crying about raaaacism. This time it’s that eeevil Walmart (again) that is raaaacist because one of its stores marked down the black Barbie doll to $3.00 while the white Barbie doll was still being sold at $5.95. See? It’s raaaacist!

ABC claims it found some “critics” that charge Walmart for not being “sensitive” in its pricing strategies. For its part Walmart says that the store in question was trying to thin out inventory for the upcoming Spring restocking.

But… can’t you see that it’s raaaacist, asks ABC and its carefully sought out “critics”? Here is the race hustler and agitation pimp that ABC dredged up to point fingers at that eeeevil raaaacist Walmart...

Pricing is done at WalMart by computer.

Apparently black barbies weren’t selling at this location.

Obviously race activists don’t understand the laws of supply and demand

When everything is racist, nothing is.

If they mark Black Barbie down, they are devaluing her; if the mark her up, they are gouging the minorities likely to purchase her. If they don't carry her at all, they are catering to white privilege. You're right--all choices are racist!

Good grief, it is racist to price a black doll cheaper so it can be afforded but it is not racist to give quotas so they can advance in school. Just consider it QUOTA PRICING!

While my expertise in the world of Barbie is kinda limited to a few prekindergarten moments involving the beheading of my sister’s collection and the fascination of toilet flushing, I’m fairly certain there is no such thing as a black Barbie. Her name was Tiffany, if I recall correctly. Barbie is the white doll’s name, which is also the brand name. No racism here, just marketing.

The black one should have sold for $5.95 and come with a $2.95 instant rebate coupon. :)

Great, how much for a Burka Barbie? Papoose Barbie? Why complain about a bargain? Its not racist it is a victim of location, location, location aka demographics.

I wouldn’t buy a black Barbie. Apparently, most people in that area felt the same way.

I think Walmart is mimicking the Government policies. Black dolls are underrepresented in American households. This program would incentivise parents and children to choose minority dolls. (kinda' sarcasm)
