Meg Whitman's Puppet Masters Drop The Ball

This is just...icky.

California gubernatorial robot Meg Whitman held a press event in the Bay Area this week and became confused when the aforementioned press began being all, you know, press-like.

When asked to deviate from the prepared remarks Whitman's handlers programmed her with, the candidate punted to one of her media people then began emitting a giggle not often heard outside of a mental institution.

The "Press Event" ended with the press being herded out before Megster could have any more of her cackling captured for posterity. Presumably, Whitman was put back in her private room where she could mutter "I ran eBay!" for the rest of the day.

“I ran ebay” doesn't sit well with people who are familiar with some of the contractual changes ebay implemented on transactions and commission fees.

A few observations:

1. Any writer who uses the word "icky" for anything other than a squashed slug is not to be taken seriously.

2. Whitman is obviously not a politician. This is not a reason to dismiss her.

3. She really needs to hire a hair and wardrobe stylist. Also she needs to work on her posture.

4. The "cackle" was not all that alarming. That's how she laughs. So what?

5. She doesn't have a chance.

What a choice....one who loves Van Jones and his ideas and one who gave $10,000 to help Al Gore win the 2000 election. The Republican BIG TENT.

I used to think Ebay was great. I haven’t bought anything there for years. Come to think of it, I don’t even go to the site any more.

I still find things on ebay, but I wouldn’t want ebay management running our government or even the postal system.

Author-poster-blogger describes self as a “loud standup comic”. Political commentary is better when deliberative and lucid rather than just “loud.”

I wonder if this comedian-blogger is a campaign aide.

Her anti-Steve Poizner attack ads are very childish.

She is spending a fortune on radio and TV ads.

"one who gave $10,000 to help Al Gore win the 2000 election"

At least Poizner has vowed to change his ways...and picked up the endorsement of Tom McClintock along the way.

He talks the talk...

The alternative is Jerry Brown.

Of course, some would argue he's the better choice for conservatives because he will hasten the collapse of the state. That's an argument I can sympathize with.

I didn’t know McClintock endorsed him. That’s a BIG plus as far as I’m concerned. I don’t like Whitman at all and there’s no way in he!! I’ll ever vote for a democrat again.....for sure not Moonbeam.

Observation # 6:

6. Her lame-ass "talk to Meg" radio commercials are obnoxious as hell.
