Don Imus’s Take on ‘Tehran Tom’ Hanks: ‘Another Panty-wearing Liberal Dickweed’
Newsbusters ^ | 03/12/10 | Anthony Kang

Don Imus, for one, is not surprised by Tom Hanks' recent comments calling WWII and the War on Terrorism racist crusades undertaken by the United States.

First brought to his attention by "Imus in the Morning" producer Bernard McGuirk on the show, the remarks were news to the host - just not shocking news.

"Oh darn, what a surprise. We have another panty-wearing liberal dickweed from Hollywood - of course!" Imus told McGuirk.

McGuirk dubbed Hanks "Tehran Tom" for remarks the actor made March 5 on-set of MSNBC to promote "The Pacific," the HBO mini-series he helped produce.

Just the headline made me burst out laughing. I am not an Imus fan, but he’s right on this one.

Hanks, Spielberg and their buddy little Opie appear to be the leaders of the Hollywood cabal. America-hating, limousine liberals. McCarthy would have had a field day with these three pixies. They don’t even try to hide their hatred for America and our culture.

Lemme see if I understand this correctly, we went to war against a country that believed blonde haired/blue eyed people were superior to everyone else and who went so far as to exterminate people for being “of an inferior race” but we were racists? Right. OK Tom, you’re an idiot. I didn’t realize it. I did not know that you were this stupid. Thanks for letting us all know.

Me too... Band of Brothers was probably the single best thing ever produced for TV. But I won’t support this jackass...

Hanks out promoting a biography of several WWII fighting men by siting racism as their reason for fighting.

"Dickweed" is putting it mildly.

I agree. He was crucified by the media that almost every “zoo-type” shock jock says over the air. The headline was worth the ROFL.

Hanks lost me during an Oscar speech some years back (when I still watched that crap) and he went on and on about his wonderful, gay drama teacher.

And how wonderful it was that he was his wonderful gay drama teacher. And how wonderful and gay he was.

Not the first to have an agenda, but clearly a tool nonetheless.

If I were one of the marines portrayed in this new series 'Pacific', I would demand that HANKS apologize for his remarks or demand that my story be removed from the series.

Tom Hanks is a calamity.

Between, Matt Damon, OPIE, and Hanks, there are a Parade of Hollywood Idiots who are trying to out-scumbag Oliver Stone.

All three are deceased, unfortunately.

I watched the first episode, BTW. Its was as PC as I was afraid it would be.

For whatever reason Hanks/Spielburg don't see the US fighting men in the Pacific as virtuous as those in the European theater.

"For whatever reason Hanks/Spielberg don't see the US fighting men in the Pacific as virtuous as those in the European theater."

Hanks and Spielberg should have quit while they were slightly ahead with the Band of Brothers series.

I am not interested in watching this Series at all and I am a history enthusiast.

I have less use for Politically Correct nonsense than I have for J.F. Kerry.

So am I and it pains me to see what those effete b*stards in Hollywood are trying to do to the reputations of these great WWII guys - I hate to imagine what those who are still alive must be thinking.

It took me a white to respond because I had to take this all in and think.

One of my mother's first cousins, Dominick, was a POW in a Japanese Labor camp in Asia somewhere. When he was rescued (just in time because in the camp just a few miles from his the Japanese were trying to remove the prisoners for execution) he was ,70 lbs. At 5 foot 8 inches in height, he was severely emaciated. It took him a year to recover.

He died about 10 years ago in his early eighties. He never complained to anyone about his experience. As far as I could tell, he led a happy life though he never married and had a family of his own. I did not know the full story of his ordeal until after his death.

This is the real life story Mr. Hanks and Mr. Spielberg will never tell about WWII. Shame on them!
