I think a Psychiatrist can explain why liberalism is a mental disorder better than me:

Yes it is. What else would one call a mindset that simply refused to see reality, simply refused to realize that there is no such thing as a free lunch, and instead kept insisting that if they just gave the accountants the right number of "tweaks" to use, they would come up with the legislative equivalent of the perpetual motion machine - a bill that reduces the deficit by upping federal spending. I suppose we could call it a disease instead of an illness, but that just seems to me to be rhetorical window dressing.
