Of course it doesn’t. The president cannot change law with an EO. EO’s were meant to allow the president to create a law in an area where no law existed when Congress was not in session.
Stupak he has given Greta a laughable run-around the last two weeks or more!!!
My initial reaction was the same—he’s stupid.
But upon reflection, I don’t think so. He knew exactly what he was doing. He just thought pro-lifers would be too stupid to see through him.
But he’s wrong about that.
He’s a snake, not stupid.
If what Sensenbrenner and other House Reps are saying, then the Executive Order signed by Pres. Johnson number 11246 on Affirmative Action means absolutely nothing. Then no company has to be an equal opportunity employer, and can discriminate for any reason.
No an EO can not over rule legislation since there was no legislation in place the EO from Johnson stands unless it is recinded. In the case of this EO the bill specifies coverage of abortion and can’t over rule the legislation.
