One Way to Fix Freezing by Firefox 3.6

If you're having trouble with Firefox 3.6 freezing up while you're trying to scroll down through a webpage, try going to the Firefox help page and update your Quicktime plug-in software to the latest version. That update fixed the problem for me.

I’m sorry I goofed up one day and allowed 3.6 to replace 3.0. I get a daily crash in addition to endless whirring while making no progress.

Chrome solved the problem for me.

I was really disappointed with the Firefox team. The last update literally put my computer into deep-freeze whenever I opened the browser. Oh well,

Maybe I’ve never had FF 3.6 freeze because I don’t use a Quicktime plugin. Chrome 4.x actually crashes for me quite often.

Thanks for the tip. Firefox had been a problem for a few months on two separate computers so I knew it wasn’t just me.

Firefox hasn’t opened for few weeks. I think I have the 3.6 version on my computer.
