NRA supports Harry Reid who supports Judge Sonia Sotomayor who aligns herself with Anti-Gun Policies

National Rifle Association of America Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre snuggles up to Harry Reid.

Will you continue to part with your HARD EARNED $$$$$$ to support the National Rifle Association now that the NRA has shown that it aligns itself (more than likely politically as well) with Harry Reid?

I would think that the big tuff NRA would align itself with a REAL HUNTER and Marksman such as Sarah Palin. After all, they were all in Nevada at the same time.

Oh so very telling, isn't it?

The Senate is the gateway to SCOTUS the ONLY thing a major lobby should be doing is defeating anti 2a rights Senators.

I’ll leave the verdict out till I see who the NRA supports in the fall. I doubt the NRA will be a vocal supporter of Reid. I do think it would’ve been better had the NRA. Just avoided the opening of the gun park altogether. Reid is gone this Nov unless he can scrap his way out of the political grave he has dug for himself and I don’t see that happening.

Hi, any ideas as to WHY the NRA chose to stand with Harry Reid this past weekend versus standing with the Tea Party and Sarah Palin, after all, they were all in the same vicinity this past weekend. Please do tell us your perspective on this.

Thank you

Excellent Point!

One could go and shoot all they wanted in the Nevada desert.

But instead 60 plus million dollars went into this shooting park. But hey, there isn’t any POLITICAL component to this, right?

The NRA has to come off as “non-partisan”. They have to know full well that Harry is toast so they balance their endorsements in a way that will not casue conservatives much harm. Just a theory.

It's an NSSF and NRA shooting park....that is why they were there. Reid was there because he helped get the earmark funding to build it.

Here is some information about the Clark County Shooting Park:

The Clark County Shooting Park is a member of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the National Association of Shooting Ranges (a division of NSSF), the National Rifle Association (club member) and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. The National Association of Shooting Ranges is a professional association of shooting ranges.

The shooting park site is located on 2,900 acres. Development of the actual shooting areas, however, is much smaller. A larger area was planned to provide a buffer around the shooting areas and provide increased safety. The Public Module presently encompasses 178 acres, and the entire build out will utilize approximately 900 acres. The rest of the 2,000 acres is being managed as a desert natural area and is protected from the off road vehicle damage, random shooting, and criminal activities that previously occurred on the property. This modern shooting park has been designed to protect the environment while providing safe shooting opportunities for the public and complies with all federal, state, and local codes and ordinances. It is estimated that 47% of the households in Clark County own a firearm. When completed this will be the only public shooting range in southern Nevada.

Don't let the MSM divide and conquer us.

The NRA has been instrumental in the legislative successes we have seen across the country lately. I for one will not condemn them nor renounce my membership over this. Whatever they’re doing is working and I hope they keep it up.
