I don’t think the new regulations go far enough. Why make these littel incremental changes? Why not just pass a law saying that all cars have to run on perpetual motion and ecrete non-fat yogert and calorie-free chocolate?

This is exactly what barama campaigned on so it’s no surprise. BO said energy costs were “going to HAVE to skyrocket” and that’s exactly what is going to happen.

This is the Obama administration's good cop / bad cop routine. The EPA is acting the part of the bad cop, threatening to shut down entire industries in the name of global warming. In the next few months, the democrats in the congress will play the good cop and offer their "sensible" Cap and Trade system to override the out of control EPA.
Of course cap and trade is what Obama, congressional dems and the EPA all wanted from the beginning but they can use this routine to get what they want and look moderate in the process.
