As reported by The Hill, a Winston Group survey did three phone surveys of registered voters from December to February. Of the 3,000 interviewed, 17% identified themselves as members of the Tea Party movement. Of that 17%, less than six out of ten were Republicans. Nearly 30% said they were independents, and 13% identified themselves as Democrats, exploding the myth that Tea Party activists are a homogeneous group of angry conservatives.

I agree, we have a group of over 3000 and many are dems and independents.
Exactly!! There are all political parties, all races, all ages, and that must be a very scary thought to the liberals who love to put us into little boxes - which they believe you can’t mix.
This is just more proof how wrong the liberals/progressives really are.
Good on ya Tea Partiers!!
A lot of people I know who are Democrats are very angry with the direction their party has taken.
They believe in strong defense, traditionalism, free speech, strong schools and community. “The little people” type of thing. Somewhere along the way their party became progressive socialists that hate America and want to encourage every perversion while hating Christians.
I’ve tried to convince some of them that Conservatism is the place to be but frankly they want their party back. So this does not surprise me.
This has to be a kick in the teeth to Nancy Pe”Lucifer” and Dingy Reid as well.
In that sense, however, they are like a lot of those who identify as Republicans and want their party to grow a spine and stand for conservative principles again.
