Immigration Reform (a.k.a. amnesty)is a key SEIU issue as it would allow the unions to add millions of members to its rolls, filling its bank accounts, while bringing its failing pension plans closer to solvency. Unfortunately for the union much of its membership is very much opposed to amnesty. According to Executive VP Gerry Hudson even the African-American union members are very anti-illegal immigration. But in the video below Hudson reveals his strategy. He portrays the African-American workers as easy dupes "it doesn't take a whole lot to argue African-American workers to another place." But those white workers are "so f***ing rabidly racist." All Hudson has to do to motivate the African-Americans is point over there to the white guys and say "look at what's there."

Before Hudson came to SEIU in 1978, he worked at the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale, NY. He was elected executive vice president for District 1199 New York, and coordinated this group’s incorporation into SEIU. Hudson has also served as political director of the New York State Democratic Party, and led the union’s campaigns in support of Jesse Jackson’s presidential efforts in New York.

Belonging to the SEIU is incalculably stupid. It isn’t even a real union, it’s just an activist group that funds itself through union dues. They love places with a lot of transient workers like grocery stores.
They unionize the place, knowing that most of their members are kids. All of the really good benefits go to the senior permanent members and to the union leaders.
Most unions, but especially SEIU, are just big pyramid schemes.

Sounds like a pretty racist comment on the part of SEIU.
Since Arizona was in the bag for McCain in 2008, I went to Nevada for the week before the election and drove a McCain van for neighborhood walks. One of the people I drove around was a very sweet and elegant middle-aged black lady who opposed Obama mostly on the basis of abortion. She got so much guff not just from other blacks, but from patronizing white liberals, that I wanted to take her back to HQ to do phone calls and spare her any further indignities. It is not an easy thing to face that kind of peer pressure.
