President Obama recognizes the power of pop culture. That's why he won't get out of our faces. Today, the media reported that President Obama and his allegedly lovely wife Michelle will be appearing on "American Idol" to stump for charity.
This marks the 1,987th pop culture show Obama has appeared on. He invaded the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, where cameras conveniently omitted the fact that he throws like a girl. He stopped by the Super Bowl to irritate the bejesus out of everyone with a ten, count-em' ten, minute interview. He stopped by the NCAA Final Four weekend coverage for a kiss-ass session with Harry Smith. He has already appeared on Leno and Letterman. He's used Oprah to campaign and danced on Ellen.
All of this begs the question: can he get the hell off of my television? Seriously. I love politics. I enjoy the brutal smackdowns, the gamesmanship, the partisanship, the policy wonkishness. But sometimes, I just want to watch a damn TV show or sporting event without seeing the man busily shredding the Constitution grinning at me as though I should be happy to invite him into my home.
Whenever he's on, I either change the channel or hit the mute button\ until the socialist is done.

One of the greatest reasons for the “remote”. Always have a “second show” to go to by hitting the “ALT Channel” button.
Then, after the BS is finished, return to the show by hitting ALT Channel again and go back to watching the original show.
Avoid commercials, and avoid OBAMA!!

Fortunate for me, I gave up TV. However, reading this - sounds like he is doing ALL he knows - and that’s being a community organizer.
Obama: wearing out “mute” and “channel” buttons on remotes throughout the land.

And if necessary hit the mute button while looking for a safe channel to go to. At least we don't have to hear him.
