A woman who lives in the Wilkes-Barre area of PA has been sentenced Monday morning for animal cruelity by the judge of Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Tina Polachek Gartley.

She's an animal groomer....so the thing makes more sense now....except that I don't see where it would be cruel to pierce a cats' ears.....considering we bob dog ears and tails...
And then there's all the little Italian girls with their gold earings.

They tag cattle through the ears, they pierce game animals with tags ... the article didn’t say exactly what/where the cat was pierced. To me, if was the ears it could be used as an ID, or beauty mark thing.

Here's a picture of one of the pierced cats.
The poor thing's ears are weighted down too much, and it looks pretty sad.
From another news source here: "The ear piercings Crawford performed could permanently damage the cats' hearing, while the tail and back piercings hinder their ability to balance and jump..."
