Over 7,500 Attend the Atlanta Tax Day Tea Party (Slideshow and Video)

On site are images of the event, as well as video coverage of several speakers, including presidential candidate Herman Cain, Georgia 7th District candidate Clay Cox, and others.

I’ve also included a short clip of some young people who were either SEIU representatives or pretending they were from the union in order to ruffle some feathers. They were treated with politeness by all who saw them, though they left not long after I snapped their picture and videotaped them. You’ll notice a photo of a girl from their group in the slideshow–she’s the one holding the sign about how capitalism is bad for the environment, “people of color,” women, developing countries, etc. When I asked if I could take her picture, she smiled and held her sign proudly, likely because she thought from my hang-tag that I was from the regular media. I thanked her and, as I walked away, said, “You didn’t have to bother smiling. I’ll be using that as an example of liberal idiocy.”

I’m still in the process of uploading some of the videos, so more will be added in the next couple of hours. Herman Cain’s entire speech is included, as are some other speeches and performances from the event.

That was fantastic...the slide show you put together really gave me the feel of that tea party (and what a tea party it was!).

I loved reading all the signs...had to watch the show twice to make sure I read um all...how I wish that every republican and democrat in the house and senate could be FORCED to watch your slide show and read the posters....what a good country we have filled with good people who KNOW HOW TO PUT THEIR VIEWS ON A POSTER BOARD (unlike the liberal in our country who have to hand out preprinted posters to the folks they pay to protest).

Besides, if the union thugs and undereducated and easily lied to folks were to suddenly grasp what the liberal democrats are doing to them as well as how the liberal democrats have KEPT THEM DOWN AND DUMB on purpose...well....there would be NO ONE left to support the filthy democrats except hollywood (easily lied to, again) and college professors (not familiar with reality in the work world).

Local new reported "over a thousand." If there were 7500 that is the usual MSM bias downplaying dissatisfaction with their beloved government. I sure couldn't tell the size of the crowd from the pictures shown, and I strongly suspect that was deliberate editing on the part of 46 news.

Years ago when I took part in a demonstration against the Brady bitch at the King center where she and then mayor and waste of skin, the late and unlamented Mainturd Jackasson were touting a waiting period, we had signs that said simply the King quote, "A right delayed is a right denied." They made damn good and sure that not one of those signs showed up in any of their coverage.

I saw your speech and wish I had had room on my memory card to film every part of the event. As it was, space and batteries helped determine when I quit and what I chose to film. Thanks for the kind words, however.

And if I could make a vanity request, could some of my FReeper faithful please refute some of the socialist comments being made in the thread for this footage on my site? I try to stay out of it, for the most part, keeping my comments within the blog itself, but someone needs to verbally beat these guys up a bit. The Tea Party movement is not looking for the same things as socialists, for example.

Yeah, I’ve had a group of self-proclaimed socialists nagging my site all day, leaving comments about how misguided the Tea Partiers are, how they really want the same thing as socialists, how we should be spending our energies doing other things, etc. It’s a little frustrating to see the results of government schools in action.
