God doesn’t like to be too obvious. He likes room for doubt. Yes, he always speaks to us. We should not normally take acts of nature personally, I would agree with that — it rains and shines on the godly and ungodly alike. But it doesn’t hurt to look upon nature’s power and think of Him.

Or not. It's a truism that the END OF THE WORLD is one day closer than it was yesterday. Which is not to say that it's particularly close. It's also a truism that my own personal "end of the world" is also one day closer than it was yesterday. Which is also not to say that it's particularly close.

Several years ago, a tornado, strength unknown, touched down in downtown Nashville. Did a lot of damage. Can’t recall if any deaths were caused by it. They were lucky. D@m*ed lucky.
