Ed Rendell: the Tea Party can get just a thousand people in Washington
Big Bureaucracy ^ | April 26th, 2010 | Ellie Velinska

“If I can call a rally for stronger laws for puppies I will draw 100 000 people to Washington just like that”

Snap! That was the Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell this morning on FOX accusing the tea party of being not able to draw a crowd bigger than a thousand people in Washington DC.

Besides the fact that his numbers on tea party attendance are wrong it is amazing to witness Rendell who is usually appealing to the folks of all political backgrounds turn into fierce campaign against a grassroots movement to which about 60% of the Americans sympathize.

Seems like Ed Rendell is looking at the devastating polls for his party in the 2010 Governor election in Pennsylvania. State Attorney General Tom Corbett (Republican) earns nearly 50% support again this month in the Rasmussen poll against the Democrat Jack Wagner.

Governor Rendell is a professional campaigner and he knows the taste of winning. So what is his strategy in helping his people in the Keystone State? This time he knows that the only chance the democrats may get is by energizing their demoralized base.... o Governor Rendell (who usually makes much more sense) is bashing the tea party on national TV in hope that the attacked will be too busy in Florida to return the fire.

Not likely! The tea party has too many heads and legs all over the country and will probably respond to Rendell accordingly. The good old Governor Rendell kicked the wrong puppy!

and Ed, we would be able to tell the differences.
your people would have manufactured signs, have been bussed in from labor unions and colleges. They would scream and hoot obscenities and racial slurs. and leave a mess.

The Tea party will come from all walks of life. Will have home-made signs. Will get to the rally on their own dime. scream and hoot and use no obscenities and they would clean up their mess.

The nearest town in North Dakota, about 15,000 had over 1000 show up for the TEA Party in the park last Sept 12. One small town alone can do that. FOX ‘friends’ really dropped tha ball not calling Rendell on that number.

For the last time...I was there. There weren’t a million people there. I spoke to people who were at the inauguration and were there at the Tea Party and they said there were more at the inauguration. So we figured, based on that, about 500,000 - 600,000. Which is a FREAKING LOT OF PEOPLE for a movement that had NO advertising.

We are in the same boat. Although, I have not been to a TEA party, I strongly support the message and would love to attend.
Every time I hear these high, falutin’, thinking-they’re-better-than-us pols, it makes me that much more determined to vote them all out of office and support candidates who love this country and respect the U.S. Constitution bestowed on us by our founding fathers.
I can see November from my porch, too.

I said good. Let my governor think this way. Let all destructioncrats think this way. The more they underestimate us, the better chance we have at winning big in November. I remember this woman on O’Reilly friday, which had special host Laura Ingraham, said that the tea party is a minority of a minority. I say let’s not correct them and let them think this way. We need them to think this way. Then, they will be blown away in November.

I have never been able to figure out how Fast Eddie got elected. Every time he opens his mouth something stupid comes out.

Sure, he can bus welfare recipients, who have time on their hands, and promise them food, booze and cigarettes, and he can get a pretty good sized protest.

I’m afraid he’s right, we’d better just pack it in and go home. We’re just regular citizens, we should leave the governing to the people who know whats best for us.

This just shows how uninformed the left is. I didn’t see the FOX interview, but I’d be willing to bet Fast Eddie was speaking about the 2nd Ammendment march last week. That did in fact draw a poor crowd. He’s so dumb, he probably thought that was a Tea Party.

On the Tax Day Tea Party Rally in Grand Prairie Texas, I took video camera in hand and interviewed attendees. I did this knowing it would counter the media misrepresentaion of the Tea Partiers.

PLEASE FORWARD these links to anyone who has been lied to by the media and politicians about the Tea Party Movement, which of course is everybody.
