You are absolutely correct. He has a right to speak.
Now, if attendance is mandatory, then there might be a different legal issue.
One thing for sure, the publicity will probably attract a bigger audience.

The president of the university should order his students to take a day off.
I’d fill the auditorium with sheep.

What law allows the court to dictate who a University invites or uninvites to speak?

In the 70’s Bill Ayres blew up courts and threatened judges.
In the 10’s Bill Ayres looks to the courts to back him up.
How times have changed.
Personally I think that if Ayres believes an unjust government should be taken out then we should start with him.
(I do not condone violence.)

...and the next time an Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine recruiter wants access to a College campus??? Will these same people be promoting tolerance to views contrary to their own??? I doubt it, I seriously doubt it. Almost every single liberal I know is outrageously hypocritical when it comes to their politics. Then again, they basically have to be. If they followed logic, they soon would find themselves adopting ideas and ideals that weren’t “liberal.”

Why is Ayers a folk hero , but Timothy McVie is the devil himself to these people.
After all arent Ayers and McVie one in the same ? just that one was better at the terror game and the other got off on a legal technicality ?

This Andrew Thomas doesn’t seem to grasp what the First Amendment is all about.
The GOVERNMENT is FORCING a university to host a terrorist—and this clown thinks that’s a victory for “free speech”?

New precedents are being set daily... I will die with the memories of what was ... it will be a long time ... if ever freedom ever graces the US again.
