I have a concern. Well, more than one, really; but for this article I'm focused on an alarming trend I've noticed in the Body of Christ. I suppose I could apologize in advance for those who will undoubtedly be offended by my assertions, but that seems to assume the worst, doesn't it? After all, we are called to emulate Christ, the perfect embodiment of truth and love, who gives staggering grace to all. I believe Christ fully embodied all of these without neglecting any. So, instead of apologizing, I will tell you I am continually seeking Christ's humility in my life. When I make a strong statement, it is because I am both convicted and convinced in the Spirit. I can only hope you'll hang in with me as I explore what I am beginning to perceive is the most severe and deadly threat to the Church's witness in this world.

THANKS.
This is a really good article, and a strong reminder of the spiritual things I need to do in my life. It’s also a sobering reminder of how seldom I live up to God’s standards - how I sometimes have to be dragged kicking and screaming to do it God’s way instead of mine. Yet, I want the change that God can bring to my life. I want to be that steadfast person with a heart of compassion and conviction. The kind of person who doesn’t waver or back down. And the kind of person who lets God do the healing that he needs to do in my life so that I can eventually be closer to being the “whole” person he created me to be. God help us all to put on the armour, to pull the sliver out, and to humble ourselves to His will.
The closer one stands to the Light, the more easily flaws can be seen.
