Conservative Examiner ^ | 4-29-10 | Robert Moon

Arizona is under attack. Absurd left-wing hysterics are throwing violent, half-witted tantrums day-and-night over the state's "controversial" new law requiring people to endure the tragedy of identifying themselves.

Will you be vacationing in Arizona this Summer?

* Yes 77.78% (14 votes)
* No 0.00% (0 votes)
* Maybe 22.22% (4 votes)

Small numbers but in favor of law.

I would have thought about it if I lived closer to AZ, but the Obama economy has got me down and we could not afford the flight for the entire family.

I will say that previously I had not even considered such an option; I have heard that the state is overrun with criminals, coyotes and drug gangs.

Maybe in the fall?

I will say that if anyone has genuinely set up a site by which money can be collected to send criminals, coyotes and drug gangs to San Francisco, that I would like to make a contribution.

Phoenix is the nation’s kidnap capital...linked to illegal drug trade, etc.

Agreed: no go in summer

Hell, I’ll drive to Gila Bend a couple of times this summer and stay a few days just to show the Zonies how much I appreciate their fortitude. It’s barely a half a days drive from my house.

I don’t even think people from Arizona vacation in Arizona during the summer.

The question is, how many retirees will sell and move back to New Jersey and New York to protest the state enforcing immigration law? LOL!

Grand Canyon is coolish year round. Visit Flagstaff instead of Tucson if you’re a northerner and can’t stand the heat.

As a year-long resident of Arizona and one who lives off the grid (no electric appliances like air conditioning) I can testify that wimps who avoid the Grand Canyon State in the summer are, in fact, wimps. Heck, we don’t ever use the ac in our automobile. Harry Truman was right, if you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Just gives the rest of us that much more ‘personal space’.

First of all, I FULLY support Arizona in her fight for sovereignty, and in its standing up for all Americans in stemming the Third World invasion!!!

However, it’s dumb to vacation in Arizona in the summer, because its so HOT!!!! That goes double for late July through early September, the monsoon season, when it’s HUMID as well!!!!

The exception is if you go to a convention or meeting, all in air-conditioned facilities. But then you don’t really see Arizona.

Try to go in May. It will be hot (with cooler nights), but you’ll have the wonderful, beautiful cactus flowers (in Southern Arizona)—not to be missed!!!! Or go to Northern Arizona—see the Grand Canyon—not to be missed!!!! It’s cooler in most of the north.

Check out Arizona travel websites.

You might also book a vacation for the fall or winter now.

I posted my thoughts several years ago. Admin took them down.

1. Select a border state. Arizona.

2. Using regular army troops secure the entire state border.

3. Select one country on the border. Using INS begin the following:

4. Announce a 24 grace period for all illegal aliens to leave the country.

5. Establish Command and Fire positions on the border. Announce that after the initial 24 hour grace period lapses any illegal alien entering the United States will be shot attempting to cross the border. 6. Round up all illegal alien males within the county.

7. Confiscate all their money, properties (homes cars etc.), equities, businesses of same. All proceeds go to State.

8. Set up impromptu courts at border crossings and deport all illegal males within 24 hours of capture.

9. Any American citizen harboring, hiding, aiding or abetting an illegal to remain in the USA will be arrested and convicted of a felony punishable by a 10 year prison sentence. No parole.

10.Caution Mexico that any violence against American companies in Mexico or American citizen's in Mexico will be considered an act of war and will initiate armed intervention.

You got that right. And how about that drive through Salt River Canyon. There is nothing in the world to match it. That, and the overlook at the top of the Rim between Payson and Heber. Wow.

I don’t even think people from Arizona vacation in Arizona during the summer.

You can get a 4-star resort there for $35 a night. Get your golf in early in the morning, watch the D-Backs (who are being boycotted too) in air conditioned comfort at night.

The wife and I love to visit Arizona. We’ve been there three times in the last seven years. More trips planned.

Phhht. I love AZ in July and August and Minnesota in January and February.

Avoid the crowds that way.
