Torpedoes would make sense for the results we see. The platform exploded, despite redundant safety features; plus, something apparently also happened on the Gulf floor at the opening of the well to prevent engineers from being able to stop the flow of oil from it. Two topedoes launched from a submarine could cause those things to happen.

He probably thought the tea parties would protest at the other oil rigs.

I’ve been thinking for awhile it was deliberate. The timing was just to convenient.

Very uninformed speculation that I will not be clicking through to read. Welcome to the conspiracy theorist wing of FR.

Yeah.....And Gary Anderson's U-2 was shot down by Russians @ 70,000 feet MSL. Refineries of all types for fuels or just petrochemicals of various types have been popping off like Jiffy-Pop this past year.
Sometimes the simplest solution of incompetence just doesn't wash. That's the problem with history, it needs to distance itself an entire generation before the real story shows itself.
I'm not saying one way or the other, but the "it is what it is" phrase is way overused.
Occam's Razor never dealt with human creativity of purpose. It's more of a natural law kinda problem solver.

Oil rig explosions are rare.
I’m not saying I know what happened, but I smell a big ol’ rat.
Yes, the truth is out there, but we may never know it.

Would a submarine actually have to be IN the Gulf to launch a long-range torpedo?
I’m NOT saying it was torpedoes, but I’m not NOT saying it, either...

Um, actually, I’m not making anything up. I’m asking questions. I clearly stated in the piece that I do not know what happened, but I would like to know.
There can be nothing but speculation right now, since no one has released the smallest bit of information as to the cause.
I did not endorse the NorK sub story; I only mentioned it. Don’t mistake asking questions for asserting answers. Of course, I have no answers. But, that’s not going to stop me from asking.

It was the molemen.
We drilled to the center of the earth and we were flooding their world. They blew the well up to stop it.

Why couldn't they say chain it to the pipe and slide it down the outside? That would put it right on the prevent er wouldn't it?

What really has me wondering where are all the talking heads.
The experts telling how it was made how it could happen. Interviews with any survivors ect.
There seems to to a lot of news lacking on this.

A well is not an open hole.
You simply can’t walk up and drop something down it.
Anyone that even tried to drop something down the hole if it was open, would have had their ass kicked all over the place by the floorhands.

Here's the problem in liberal / pacifism / indecisive action / when they are in charge... We will constantly be "probed" and "tested" because our government is purposefully so confusing and ambiguous in it's response to agressors that by the time it does respond it becomes a world war. Nobody knows just what the rules are??????
Consider South Korea......or the fact we consider the response to foreign invasion of our border states to be nazi-like? or we consider building apartments for jews to be more menacing that nuclear armed Ayatollahs?
If I were Chavez, who owns Chevron, I'd piss in America's punch just for giggles. Consider the puchbowl to be the Gulf of Mexico, off the Louisiana Coast.

A few coincidences?:
The Toyota accelerator issue comes to the fore during a time when the BO administration has a large hand in the control of Chrysler and GM.
Insurance company announces large premium increase just as BO administration is attempting to nationalize health care system.
Days after DC tea party protests and passage of health care bill, the feds raid a suspected group of 'Christian Militia'.
Weeks after Obama appears to relent on the subject of off-shore oil drilling, a catastrophic offshore oil rig explosion and spill occurs.
The Goldman Sachs story explodes as the BO Administration attempts to take over the financial industry.
Are these all just happy little coincidences for the BO Administration?
