What the hell?!?!

Since when can the Scty. of Homeland Security give orders to the head of one of our military branches?

Isn’t the US military comprised of the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force? I thought the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who reports to the SecDef, was over the Coast Guard.

Maybe I’m wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time. lol

Coast Guard is technically civilian and is part of Homeland Security.

Navy sometimes will have Coast Guard on board for when they need to do boarding, and for legal reasons it needs to be “civilians”.
