I think this “mark of the beast” thing is just nuts... People need to get real.
Of course the National ID is not the mark of the Beast.
The Social Security Card is.

How many ways do they need to track us? We already have Social Security numbers (with a card), Driver’s license numbers (with a card), Yearly tax returns, etc, etc,.
What makes them think this new thing can’t be copied or cheated in some way?
Is it certain the good folks at Cypress Press aren't confusing the National ID proposal with Baltimore's stupid epic failure known as Believe?
Note, that report is a PDF file and is rather old. I just provided it as a reference to what I'm talking about. In fact, what caught my attention from this post was the use of the word "Believe" in conjunction with the National ID proposal.
Anyone living near Baltimore has, I'm sure, seen those stupid black and white bumper stickers that simply say "Believe".
