Time Square Bomber a Democrat and Obama Donor?
Flopping Aces ^ | 05-04-10 | Mike's America

Posted on 05/04/2010 10:17:41 AM PDT by Starman417

Still tracking down that news but one thing is clear: he wasn't a Tea Partier!

There are reports that Faisal Shahzad, the failed Time Square bomber was a registered Democrat in Connecticut and may be a donor to Obama's campaign.

This comes after the Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg openly speculated that the bomber might be “somebody with a political agenda who doesn't like the health care bill or something." Coming on the heels of repeated warnings from Obama, Bill Clinton and others that Tea Parties might lead to violence it was only natural for libs to assume this attack may have been inspired by opposition to Obama. But like the other baseless charges in Obama's political repertoire, this one turned out to be false as well.

Homeland Security almost let terrorist slip away?

What's worse than the overt profiling of Tea Partiers is the sheer incompetence of the Obama Administration which nearly let Faisal Shahzad get away. While security at the JFK airport in New York City was busy patting down little old ladies, Shahzad boarded his flight to the Middle East, the plane had began to pull away from the gate and only at the last second was the suspect caught.

Prevention is not the issue here.

The shoe and underpants bombers passed through legitemate checkpoints where they SHOULD have been caught.

In this instance, can you think of one interception point that should have caught this guy?
Did he breeze through any checkpoints?
Did he pass any registrations or audits?
Did he buy any restricted materials where he should’ve been screened?

This was one guy with a (bad) plan and minimal opportunity to intercept him.

I don’t know about interception points, but like many Pakistanis he was fast-tracked for citizenship by the current administration.

It sounds to me like he flew to Pakistan, took part in training camps, got lots of money, flew back to the US, spent the money on bomb making materials and then got on a plane and tried to fly back. So.... maybe there was no point where he could have been nabbed ahead of time especially if no one is looking for this behavior... 9 years after 9/11.

<>"They aren’t all incompetent. They found him quick enough for all they had to go on from an SUV bought on Craigslist for cash. "

This guy sure left a trail to be followed. Screw up or deliberate?

And I’m not giving a pass to immigration or Obama, but the local/state/feds caught this guy and have already arranged the detention of 8 others.

If anybody failed here, I really doubt it was the cops at any level.

Thanks for the details. I was hoping it was that. I love our law enforcement, and tremendous kudos for NYPD.

Well, if he wasn’t a disgruntled white TEA person and healthcare protester,
....what is left...he must have been a friend of Obama.

This POS admits it. Thanks to Obama they no longer fear getting caught.

What will he get, a slap on the wrist and a beer chat at the WH?

The fact that this newly naturalized citizen from Pakistan who had trained in a terrorist training camp was not on a watchlist and was apparently freely allowed to go thru airport security and board a plane shows what a farce this so called airport security is. As I have figured for years it only exists to terrorise little old ladies, small children and otherwise loyal Americans and to give our politicians a pretense of fighting terror while thousands of aliens terrorists are most likely given U S citizenship every year. Not to mention the millions of illegal aliens who invade over our borders at will.

Actually it has been reported elswhere that they let him board the plane to see if he made any last phone calls and were monitoring him.
That sounds like a clever move since he had just gone through screening

You may be right that they let him board the plane. I disagree that it was the right thing to do, though. Too many innocent people on the plane could've been hurt if there was a "problem" arresting him and/or those with him. That was unnecessary endangerment of civilians. I guess Zero and his minions care nothing for the "common" people, except their votes.

Give credit where it’s due.

The street vendor saved the day! FBI and HS weren't there.

What group represents America’s biggest enemy, Muslims, Democrats or the liberal media?

In this instance, can you think of one interception point that should have caught this guy?

Yes, I can think of two.

First, he was allowed to become a U.S. citizen, despite reports that he speaks very limited English and is from a country known for Islamic extremism. Individuals, especially males, from these countries need more rigorous background checks before being allowed to become citizens.

Second, young adult males traveling to Muslim terror centers, U.S. citizen or not, need intense screening when re-entering the country.

Unless, Obama can kill the story, it will come out that this guy has been in contact with other terrorists and received terror training while in Pakistan. Like the Christmas bomber, these guys are not working alone and Obama's administration has failed miserably in indentifying and tracking people who receive terror training off-shore.

It would be interesting to find out HOW MANY with terrorist ties or those willing to undermine our country contributed to the Obama campaign. The bigger question is why did those who want to destroy our country find Obama such an appealing candidate....and what did they do to elect Obama.
The real saps are those who thought that Obama was hope and change instead of hoax and chains....and continue to believe in him.
The real Obama agenda was always to undermine the US.
