Interesting story about GM and the US Government. Did Obama administration tell GM to lie about its TARP repayment?
But there's this near the end:
There is a name for the kind of regime that allows private ownership of businesses but effectively tells them what to produce and sell. It's called Facism.

DO NOT BUY GM CARS!!!
It’s OK. It’s not Fascism, it’s Obama-ism. Identical but totally different. He is one Magic NNNNNational Figure.
The advertising agency that has handled the GM account for ninety years was just let go. I wonder if the ad wasn’t the first approved by the Obama administraton.
Historically, attempts at a fascist takeover end in one of three ways:
(1) If the nation’s institutions are strong enough, the fascists lose in a free but somewhat corrupt election. Sadly, the institution most important for this result is a free press. Our LSM is beholden to and/or synchophants for obozo, so we’re screwed on that score. Then again, the New Media is stronger and gaining strength. There is at least a 50% chance we’ll take this path.
(2) The fascists sufficiently corrupt the system to rig the elections. There is a revolt because the corruption is so blatant. Freedom is restored after varying degrees of bloodshed. 10% chance here.
(3) Same as (2), but the fascists win. Massive bloodshed and suppression ensues. Many “useless idiot” backers are shocked when they are put up against the wall. Darkness descends. In the case of a normal nation, the damage is limited to internal misery. In the case of a potential superpower, the world descends into war. In the case of a true superpower? Never happened before, but the result will be FAR worse. 40% chance here.
PS Odds are just my best guess given the current state of the polity.
Do not buy any Government Motors product ever again. This model of business is detrimental to free enterprise and is communism.
