The final poll before Tuesday’s special election to fill Jack Murtha’s unexpired seat in the U.S. House shows that Republican Tim Burns is neck and neck with Democrat and pork barrel specialist Mark Critz. (Yes, Critz’s campaign is funded by lobbyists and special interests.)

I think Mr. Burns got to be considered the favorite here.

The special election is being held simultaneously with the highly contested Republican primary with Burns and Russell.

That’s got to increase the turnout in the 12th among Republican voters.

But the polls say burns is only 1 point ahead. If the polls can even be trusted, it’ll be a close call
