So – what IS going on? Is the stage being set for the long expected attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities? Well, nobody is going to admit that, even if it were true. Is the US stationing itself, strategically, between Iran and Israel – as a clear warning to Israel NOT TO ATTACK IRAN? With the Obama Regime clearly showing no favor for Israel, one must consider that possibility.

As one looks at the Iranian defense, especially the new Russian “Surface to Air Missiles,” one must consider the option of boots on the ground, inside Iran, to take out those mobile missiles by either hands-on destruction or painting the targets with lasers for aircraft using stand-off munitions to take out. Of course, we are describing a task, which would be undertaken by Special Forces troops. Both Israel and the US have outstanding Special Forces who certainly have the capability to complete such a mission.

I can’t imagine 0bama ordering an offensive military action against Iran under any circumstances. I just don’t see it happening. Surely the Iranians and other bad actors know this as well.

Expect the next president to have one hell of an epic mess to clean up with regard to National Defense.

We had “massive naval buildups” over there at least three times in the Bush years and nothing came of them. We marched our troops up that that hill then we marched them back down again. Nothing this administration does that looks like American strength is to be believed unless that strength actually accomplishes something beyond spending shiploads of money.

I can see it under one circumstance—to save his political hide. Cinton did it and (somehow) I think Obama would use the same playbook, if not more so. If his poll number drop below 40, especially as the midterms near, that would be logical time to pull such a stunt. That being said, any raid may be more a publicity stunt than anything else. Choreographed to look tough and though not achieving lasting, effective results.

I don't think any military action trick by Obama will save his poll numbers for the fact that we are dealing with Iran and the hot tender box that the middle east is ....

This is a very very dangerous precedent for a president to use a military wag the dog or for what ever reason to life his polls numbers and approval up....

This action could lead us to a major war in that region ( let Israel do what Israel needs to do and help them if they ask ) and on top of all that, we got a major crises in the making in Korea and Europe's economic downfall soon....

To add more to the mix, is the world wide possible depression.
A honest and true blooded American president would carefully listen to his generals and move on the advise of what they say, and step back and let the generals win the war instead of using this to lift his poll numbers and approval...
