Oh, I hope they keep this up! Before Obama was elected, he was a clean slate for most folks, and they believed what they wanted to believe, because they never heard the bad stuff, since it was not covered by the adoring press.

Now that he's been in office for a year and a half, many folks who voted for him don't have any illusions anymore. Hearing the media say the same stuff they said when he was running is going to sound pretty silly, and downright false, to those disillusioned voters.

Yeah, poor bastard. I'm inclined to think it is North East, yupper income nurture, than nature, but who knows? In a just world he be sentanced to two years man camp, then a review board.

He probably follows EPA guidelines for outdoor grilling air pollution. I.E, no smoke, no char. He would ask you if you remember the FDA temp/time graphs for salmonella safe meats.

Agreed; metrosexual At Best. But as you aptly pointed out, nurture plays a role. Brooks works for a paper that glorifies the gay lifestyle in pretty much every issue. Maybe over time Brooks became convinced he’s missing out on something intriguing. Who knows.

Brooks is a racist. A condescending guilty racist, but a racist nonetheless. He’ll never hold Obama to any standards.

I’m guessing he meant “heroic” in the sense that I “took a heroic” this morning.

Is Brooks gay? He writes like he’s on the verge of being outed, and wants to keep it under wraps.

Yes, he is. I believe he used to be known as "David Brock".

Now if this Obama Droid would have only applied his “the government can’t do everything” to the health care debate. Then he might have some credibility.

Dems have a low bar - they’re “heroic” if they can read off a teleprompter while chewing gum...

Republicans like David Brooks are the problem. They are idiots and soft and value their standing among liberals than they do the truth.

Guys like David Brooks are tools the media use to create the illusion they want for themselves as well as for the World. To their way of thinking, they have a "good guy Republican" in David Brooks. If they or their consumers think David Brooks represents conservatism in any way, they are only fooling themselves. Reality will catch up sooner or later. I think the forces of conservatism has a pretty big advantage there, if they will get a grip and stand strong instead of rolling over in fear of the media.

Because it's going to happen no matter what the forces of conservatism do.
