The real problem that the intellectual "elite" of the Left has regarding wealth is that they don't produce it. That's not to say that there are no leftist intellectuals with money; there are plenty of them, and some are, in fact, very wealthy. Neither is it to say that leftists aren't skilled in using money as a tool or as a weapon to make their points.
