4 min Gerrard (ENG)
40 min Dempsey (USA)
The USA and England did not hold back and took every opportunity to go after the prey. The Sons of Sam gave their best while dancing with the lions. There was shirt pulling, ribs crashing, lips bleeding and mostly ball kicking.
The match was a good excuse to have a beer and perfect way to release some anger over being oiled by British Petroleum. Team USA was armed only with soccer skills, shin guards and cups and President Obama did not drone anybody in the aftermath.
At least the Americans were at the World Cup with an American coach Bob Bradley spent whole his career advancing the soccer in the USA not an easy task in the country where other "American" sports often steal the attention and the best athletes. The Englishmen had to hire Fabio Capello who is a fabulous coach, but is an Italian. The blame for the early goal for England is on Joe, of course: the US Vice-President Joe Biden visited briefly with the Team USA in the locker room at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium about an hour before the USA kicked off its 2010 FIFA World Cup journey against England.
That explains the rocky start of the game for the Team USA. It is hard to concentrate after you just had a tet-a-tet with Joe Biden. May be the VP should stick to the official VIP area before the next game and leave the prep talk to the coaches an hour before the game.
This is the World Cup, Joe! It is a Big F
. Deal.

Biden thought he was at the World Super Soaker competition...however, his butt-boy Rahm didn’t show.
They were confused by his advice to “lay of the inside fast balls” and to “keep the Brits off the free throw line.”
Biden warned them that they would be tested early. He also told them about watching the famous USA/GB match of 1950 live on his laptop.
he didn’t distract the American goalie, that’s for sure....guy was tremendous...
Biden said, “Hey me being here is a big F#cking Deal”
Any sport where the game ends in a tie is not for Americans.
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, center left, applauds during the World Cup group C soccer match between England and the United States at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, South Africa, Saturday, June 12, 2010.
What in the hell is going on here? How could the US coach possibly allow such a distraction right before a match? And just to prove what a self-serving idiot Joe Biden is, let's look back at his comment a couple of days ago:
"I am honored to be (here) representing the United States."
Wrong, Joe. These are the guys representing the United States.
What an ass.
I would like to know: what did Joe say to the players?
I think it is a scandal - him being in the locker room before such an important game.
I wonder if he’ll have a similar fate as the Colombian defenseman who put the goal in his own net, allowing a 2-1 US victory. That unfortunate fellow had a lead poisoning accident in a parking lot. I don’t think the “hooligans” use guns though.
So who won?
agreed
