Anti-War Teachers Disrupt Recognition Ceremony of Military-Minded Students

Last week two Massachusetts High School teachers took it upon themselves to protest against the U.S. Military as students that had announced plans to join our armed forces were receiving recognition from their school. Incensed students and parents called for the teachers to be fired.

History teacher Marybeth Verani and English teacher Adeline Koscher raised signs protesting the military during the June 11 ceremony at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School interrupting the proceedings and angering the parents and their students that were being recognized.

Students were upset that these teachers decided to impose their anti-American, anti-Military view on the room full of attendees during a time meant to celebrate the student's efforts to serve their country.

Andrew Bowles Jr., a junior at the school, told reporters afterward, "They not only imposed their political will, they imposed it at the wrong time."...

These teachers should be fired and prevented from ever teaching again.

Now now, there was a school in New England that let Gildred Millars even serve as a teacher once her punishment for her conviction of treason in WWII has passed. She was the treasonous “Axis Sally” who served the Nazi propaganda effort from Germany.

So seditious red witches like these could probably one day again teach in New England, a state so nice it gets 25% representation in the Senate.

There’s a time and a place for everything.
These teachers should have known better.

New England has 12 Senators, not 25.

The teachers should be flogged, then fired.

Go to hell, shrews. You EXACTLY personify the reason government schools are the WORST educational option for our children.

I recently attended a high school graduation in Kettering, suburb of Dayton, close to Wright Patterson Air Force Base. There were quite a few graduates who were recognized for joining the military and they all received a thunderous standing ovation that went on for some time.

TSgt got a little choked up by it.

New England is a region comprised of six states, and Delaware is not one of them.

This is a time that the majority attending could have banded together and out-shouted these two pigs. The whole crowd in the room could have really given these two a verbal lashing.

Why did most just sit there and let these idiots get away with this.

I’d be screaming for security, screaming at the organizer, yelling them down.

Report: "History teacher Marybeth Verani and English teacher Adeline Koscher raised signs protesting the military during the June 11 ceremony at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School interrupting the proceedings and angering the parents and their students that were being recognized."

Response: Are there no feathers in Massachusetts? Is the state deficient in tar? Certainly wood for rails grow in the state? Healthy people must start considering self help in order that behavior like these wretches may be suppressed.

Delaware is not in New England.

It votes as if it were, but it isn't.

And are there in Massachusetts no stout lads within whose hearts resides a healthy contempt for the effrontery of unpatriotic teachers, who could -— shall we say -—explain the matter to them?

Doesn’t surprise me. They do the same thing here in NJ. My Daughter was in the US Naval Sea Cadets and wanted to go in one day in her dress blues to tell more kids about this Youth Program that’s designed to give young people a taste of what the Military is like. Well, they said “Thanks, but no thanks. We don’t believe the Military should be brought into school”. She was heartbroken, to say the least. All she was able to do was bring in a picture of herself and some literature to hand out. I can’t stand Public Schools....

A poll in the on-line version of the Cape Cod Times shows 61% of the respondents are in favor of punishing/firing the two teachers.

Poll
