Doctors Sue to Overturn Health Care Bill [Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS)]

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) became the first medical society to sue to overturn the newly enacted health care bill, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). AAPS sued Friday in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.

Congress recognized that PPACA cannot be funded without the insurance mandates, and will become unaffordable without them.

Court action is necessary "to preserve individual liberty" and to prevent PPACA from bankrupting the United States generally, and Medicare and Social Security, specifically.

Although this press release is from back in March, it's very important to show that (1) ObamaCare is not a fait accompli, and (2) the AAPS, not the AMA, represents the large majority of doctors who oppose ObamaCare stridently. This suit was pretty much neglected by the MSM, with the exception a brief FOX News TV interview with Rand Paul (an AAPS member) the video of which can be seen via the posted link above.

"Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act"? Sounds Orwellian, doesn't it?

BTW, as Dr. Paul indicates, the AAPS was successful in suing the infamous Hillary Clinton health care task force back in the 1990s..

This feels like a “and then they came for me” moment....

The AAPS was doing all they could in March and well before then, urging their physician members, and their friends, relatives, and patients, to get the anti-ObamaCare message to Washington. Of course, the MSM was talking up the pro-ObamaCare AMA during that time and rarely if ever mentioned the AAPS, so I don’t blame you if you never heard of them before.

I'm not sure how we'd be able to support them directly, however citizens can fight against Obamacare by joining the Obamacare Class Action Lawsuit:

The more law suits against this genocide the better.

There are quite a number of suits against ObamaCare going on. The ones that the MSM paid most attention to are the state Attorney Generals' suits. For some reason or another, the Virginia suit is separate from the other states' cases, all of which have been consolidated into one case.

Mark Levin, the radio talk show host who doubles as a constitutional lawyer for the Landmark Legal Foundation, discussed this at length on his show tonight. His organization has filed an amicus brief on behalf of Virginia in opposition to the Obama Justice Dept. in that Virginia case.
