Cancer vs Jesus

By Wesley Wilson, Age 12

Let's face it. We all hate cancer. But when you read John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth and the life," that gives us something to think about.

Jesus' way is the only way. You won't be misled.

Jesus' truth is the only truth you can always depend on in good times and bad.

And the most important, The Life is the only thing we live for. Some people say there's no cure for cancer. Jesus is the only cure for cancer.

And that's the truth.

Editor's Note: Wesley is my son, and he's writing this about his daddy who has gone to at-home hospice this week.

As far as people selling their souls to God. He doesn’t offer it. He wants their love, that’s all.

You are kind and gracious.

Thanks for your encouraging words.

Whatever patience He has successfully poured into me has come at enormous cost that I don’t even want to remember.

Sure appreciate your patience with me.

Heading to bed. Wish I could enjoy a brotherly good night hug. Been a challenging week.

Night night.

His foreknowledge doesn’t preclude will. However, as I suspected, you are desperate to project evil upon God. I’ll pray for you.

It doesn’t set anyone over God as His judge.

Like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

All we are is dust in the wind, dude. Dust - wind, see?

How is it that labeling God the author of evil lacks any judgment of Him?

Seems like fairly straightforward logic, to me.

No judgement, not a label, just is...God is the creator of all. Is that a label or fact?

1. I understand your point. I disagree.

2. I agree there is mystery involved.

3. I believe it is a judgment because it PRESUMES to have sufficient KNOWLEDGE OF GOD AND ALL THAT WAS INVOLVED to so determine that God is the author, source, cause of evil.

4. I do not believe the finite has anything remotely close to a view point, perspective, position of view, knowledge from which to assert that with the least bit of confidence.

5. Language may be part of the problem. Linear logic may be part of the problem. Regardless, we are not, per se, in our finiteness in the kind of space to make that kind of assessment of GOD, imho.

You’re presuming that that was a sincere inquiry.

Questions like that rarely are like in this case, which you will find out when you look at someone’s posting history.

On the cancer issue....Everyone has cancer cells in their system, they are what is ‘activated’ when we die and decomposes the body. So what then activates these pre-maturely is the question.

All sorts of reasons have been introduced from smoking to exposure to toxic chmicals, crop sprays, and the list goes on and on... I’m in the court that says we’ve always had cancer happening...they just couldn’t recognize it for that years ago...rather... a person died from kidney failure, or brain infection, all depending on where in the body it grew and the organ it attached to which took their life. That was the cause of death.

Today we have far more developed instruments and research institutes ...., so we are catching things much earlier because the research is done to identify what the markers are etc. They didn’t have the advances we do now...

The key is what actually activates these cells before death?

He did create people disease free...The break down of our bodies (death) came after this. So something happened between the time He created people to where disease was possible.

So your real question is ‘what’...am I correct?
