- Name-calling against prominent Democrats. Calling Barack Obama "Barry" or some other name.My personal favorite. But what about "Hussein"? Can we call him "Hussein"? It's his name, after all. What about "B. Hussein Obama"? What about "fumbling moron"? Or "anti-American marxist socialist fascist"? All true.

JimRob and his moderators have a much simpler, single rule. Don't be an a&&hole. And even then, folks like you or I have still managed to hang around this long.
On a serious note, the FR "rules" are listed on every post page:
Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.
Just enforcing that would shut down DU.

dhimmis just love to make rules but avoid following them like vampires avoid sunlight - rules are for other people! Looks like skinner has painted himself into a corner with this one. If he doesn't enforce these rules, then his word means nothing. If someone feels threaten, or is being abused they are going to call skinner to enforce the rules. If he does start enforcing these rules 95% of DU is going to be banned. Since they act like potty mouthed teenagers, they will hate DU since they won't be able to be "themselves".

As you know, Barack Obama is the first Democratic President since DU was created back in 2001. And hopefully the LAST one!

The DU Administrators have long been frustrated with the persistent undercurrent of negativity and conflict here, which has been exacerbated by the lack of a common villain in the form of George W. Bush. Bush Hate was the glue that held DU together. Now even that is wearing off.
