Jeb Bush: I mean, good God, man, read a book...Go watch ESPN!
Doesn't Jeb realize that Obama spends half his time as President golfing, partying and playing basketball?
Interesting article in the NY Times profiling Jeb Bush and suggesting how he may be stepping forward to defend the Bush family name in light of Obama's continuing fingerpointing at his older brother who feels bound by the "ex President's code" and won't fire back.
It's also an article that subtly speculates on whether Jeb might emerge to run for President himself. Here's an excerpt:
For Jeb Bush, Life Defending the Family Name
By MATT BAI
New York Times
June 22, 2010CORAL GABLES, Fla. For months now, Jeb Bush has been listening as President Obama blasts his older brothers administration for the battered economy, budget deficits and even the lax oversight of oil wells.
Its kind of like a kid coming to school saying, The dog ate my homework, Mr. Bush, this states former governor, said over lunch last week at the Biltmore Hotel. Its childish. This is what children do until they mature. They dont accept responsibility.

Statements like this one by Jeb only serve to hide the facts from the sheep!
We need a Paul Revere, not crap like this!
That would mean that he's actually giving commands, maybe even that he knows what he's doing.
So far as Afghanistan and the Gulf spill go, it doesn't look like he's been very commanding.
Bush greatly disappointed me when he tried to shove the immigration law down our throats.
Also, he and his dad were just too friendly with the clintins.
I know you are supposed to be professional but when you run with people who bash you like clintin and the rest of that crowd did and then Bush Sr. invites clintin to the boyhood/growing up home of his son? The very private and family place?????????????????? That wouldn’t happen in my home. Invite someone who trashed my son and family into my HOME? That was totally shameful in my opinion. Then the next thing we know Laura is out there talking about abortion and her own ideas that went against her husband. Why didn’t she do this when he was in his first term?????? I’m so over the bush group except Barbara and their daughter whom I think are both exceptional and would probably speak out but...they can’t.
No more bushes in the White House. No more clintins. no gores thank goodness and no kennedy’s. Enough is enough. We need fresh, new, young enthusiastic honest people.
Oh, that's right. If you're a Bush you don't have to worry about your children's futures.
I hope that FReepers will not push or support Jeb Bush to run for president. I do not want another Bush in the White House.
“No more Bushes!” That is as close as you can get to a unanimous agreement on FR. Otherwise, the place is like a box of kittens.
Well, you are totally wrong there.
A lot of BDR’s on Free Republic focus only on things Bush did that they didn’t like, totally forgetting all the good stuff he did.
But many of us wish Bush was President.
Many of us are just tired of arguing with Bush bashers.
Compared to what we have today, sure. But I was heavily disappointed since the 2004 reelection. It was as if we had a change in party. Never forget who started the TARP fiasco.
BTW, I wasn’t a “basher.” I kept a lot of how I thought of Bush to myself, having supported him in two elections.
There are some issues with him as well, like immigration, but besides that, he was a great Governor.
He doesn’t want ua to win.
