Obama: Odd Man Out in Economic Summit!

Our allies are moving to cut spending and debt at the same time Obama urges them to party on!

President Barack Obama, right, stands beside French President Nicolas Sarkozy and other G8 Leaders during a family photo with African Outreach Leaders during the G8 Summit at the Deerhurst Resort in Hunstville, Ontario, Canada, Friday, June 25, 2010.

With U.S. Gross Domestic Product being revised significantly downward and our high unemployment rate well above that of our nearest neighbor Canada, you would think Obama might listen to how our friends and allies are responding to the global economic crisis. But it seems that just as he endlessly lectures Americans, he is in Toronto lecturing our friends on a subject where it might be better if he said nothing and listened.

The New American puts it so well:

Obama Odd Man Out at Summit
by Bruce Walker
Friday, 25 June 2010

Barack Obama arrived on Friday in Toronto for the G-8 and G-20 economic summits. This summit comes amid an unprecedented explosion of red ink in America from an approach to sluggish economies that Obama is recommending to other industrial nations.

Other nations, notably Germany, Japan, Britain, and France, intend to move in the other direction, reducing their government deficits by reducing expenditures. Two years ago the leaders of these nations supported “pump priming” as a solution to the financial crisis caused by the collapse of Lehman Brothers, a giant American investment bank. Now these leaders believe that more government spending will make things worse.

A revealing photo. Everything is about him. He is not aware that he not the only one being photographed.

That's probably 20+ years of smoking crack that your're seeing.

And/or pathological narcissism which renders a person incapable of feeling or understanding what others are going through.

He's sick to a degree I've never seen in a human being. Our country's and our citizens' economic troubles mean nothing more to Obama than a game of Monopoly.

It's the equivalence of having a drunk pilot at the controls of our national 747 (and a co-pilot and aircrew who, in their denial, are nothing more than enablers).

Being constitutionally incapable of watching more than a few moments of any Obama speech, I caught only the very beginning of his G-20 press conference yesterday.

I was shocked to hear him say that unemployment is going down and jobs are finally being created in the U.S. He said something to the effect that we have turned the corner on our economic recession.

He just stood there and told a massive lie to a nation who knows the truth.

That's what sealed the deal for me.

He's not just a socialist. He's not just a liar. He's not just a crook!

He's frikken looney...he's off his rocker...he's insane!!!

Of course his staff don't see it. They're too close to the situation to see the truth. And if he's insane, they are guilty of abetting him.

BTW, the reason those who voted for him continue to drink the Kool-Ade is that they, like Obama's staff, are abettors in this national nightmare.

They are also in denial because the truth is too unbearable to accept!

Well, accept it we must all!!!

Someone has got to step in to stop this.

That photo speaks not just volumes but tomes...a library full of them.

Tim's face displays a deep, deep concern...and Emanuel's shows abject resignation.

These are the expressions, when emitted by those enabling our national Mad Hatter, that tell us that they are coming to understand the gravity of our national situation (i.e. there is a madman at the helm).

IMO, this is what Peter Orszag had come to see, hence his resignation.

I encourage you all to take a close look at this photo...dissect it and see what you can discover.

“U.S. President Barack Obama listens to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel (R) as he watches a live telecast of the 2010 World Cup soccer match between the U.S. and Ghana during a short break between bilateral meetings with South Korea’s President Lee Myung-bak and China’s President Hu Jintao at the G20 Summit in Toronto June 26, 2010.”

Rahm’s look of disgust in the bottom photo likely stems from the one above it. We can only imagine what Rahm said in the former: “Come on, you putz. We’re not here for fun and games. You need to get ready for Hu or else he’s going to clean your clock in his next meeting with you.”

Obama’s likely response: “Oh, come on, can’t I watch soccer. These summits are so BORING and besides, no one listens to me anyway. And I REALLY hate it when Sarkozy tells jokes about me to Angela in French. I can tell from her dagger looks that she wishes Bush were here instead of me.”

I understand the leaders at the Toronto Meeting ridiculed Obama behind his back.

I suspect that's quite true...but do you have a link to a source that mentions such a meeting.

That's a story that really needs to be explored.

Just a thought, but let's analyze the facial expressions in the photo below (please insert your own interpretations).

Geitner's face is asking a question...a question, the nature of which and the answer to which, is alarming and definitely negative.

Emanuel's face need to be divided into two parts.

The eyes and eye brows provide one message and the mouth and chin deliver another.

Let's start with the mouth.

Take a good look at it--you can feel what it is saying. It's not a smile or a frown. It's middle ground response is one of frustration. This is the expression of a father for a child who has failed. The father is still deeply invested in the child but sees that the child is hopeless (this is a "come to Jesus" expression). The father can't smile because of the failure, but he can't frown because he still loves the child. Interpretation: frustration...which is a struggle between at least two primal emotions.

Emanuel is fully committed to Obama...but finally recognizes his failure.

If the subject of this expression were something other than Obama--something other than the supreme object of his hopes and ambitions--there would be an element of "what the heck" (as in "what does it really matter"). But that isn't present here.

This expression is absolute. This is the expression one sees in the face of a coach who loses the Soccer World Cup.

This expression says, "life will go on...but the dream is dead."

Now the eyes.

The muscles around the eyes tell us what the brain is thinking...i.e. is it focusing on the future (there would be tension and contraction), is deviousness required (there would be a narrowing of the eyes to improve focus...and a raising of the brow to widen the gaze to bring in more material both externally and internally).

In this case, we see the muscles around Emanuel's eyes relaxed and released.

This is an unconscious response. He knew this would eventually happen (failure)...and he is relieved. In fact, like a murderer caught, he is glad it is all over.

He (his brain and his conscience) can finally rest and relax.

Look at his eyes and that's what you will see.
